ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Jaguars are expected to host quarterback Chad Henne for a free agent visit this week.

PFT’s Mike Florio has independently confirmed Henne will visit Jacksonville.

The exact date of the Henne visit is unknown, but Schefter specifically said on NFL Live that it is expected to be Henne’s first visit of free agency.

In Jacksonville, Henne would compete with 2011 first-round pick Blaine Gabbert.

NFL Network’s Jason La Canfora also reports that the Jaguars will host free agent wide receiver Laurent Robinson on Tuesday night.

Laurent Robinson would be an improvement at WR. Jags don’t have much at WR right now.

No he wont. Cause after Denver nabs Manning, they’ll ship Tebow home and Gabbert will come to Denver for Tebow and a 2nd rounder. Watch.

  6. lolb23 says: Mar 13, 2012 4:58 PM

Typical D type guys that will never help Jax do anything but lose more games.

Robinson was the best receiver the ‘boys had.

For better or worse or Peyton Manning, Gabertt has no competition

    henne will start….no competition

Kind of a no-brainer for Chad Henne to sign there.

It’s as good of a shot as he’ll have to win a starting job in the NFL. Warm weather city in a Fall/Winter sport.

Not to mention he stays in FL … no state income tax.

Chad Henne stunk at Michigan. He belongs with the Jets.

Laurent Robinson will be a solid pickup. And it weakens the Cowboys. I like this.

This is cool, Henne is a good backup and Laurent Robinson is better than any other Jags wide reciever

    Not great yet not bad.

Robinson can fly, he had almost 900 yards and 11 TDs in 14 games as a #2 receiver……Gene Smith likes younger FAs with upside.

This will not be the major Jags FA move, but its a good one

Henne will be starting by week 3 if they pick him up.

In other words: nothing. It’s Cleo Lemon all over again.

I’m really, really, really getting sick of being a fan of this pathetic team. New owner, same results.

Solid pickup for JAX if they land him but I dont see him getting anywhere near the production he did last year in that offense. Would be interesting to see him back with the Cowboys.

Tebow will be available next week for Jacksonville but then again Chad Henne doesn’t think Tim Tebow is an NFL QB. Henne & Tebow as team mates on the Jags ?

If they bring in Henne and trade for Tebow, they better name Tebow the starter before camp.

Because if they go into camp in an open competition, Henne will beat him senseless.

Let’s remember, all of you revisionist historians, that the last time Tim Tebow was in an open QB competition in training camp, he came in 4th out of 4.

Deep breaths Jag fans….Mario Williams is visiting 3 more teams tomorrow and all the outlets are saying jags are in contention
