John Abraham tour may begin in Tennessee

The Titans had planned to target defensive end Mario Williams.  They’ve now focused their efforts on quarterback Peyton Manning.

But Tennessee apparently still wants to beef up the pass rush.  And they may try to do it by hosting Falcons defensive end John Abraham.

As we understand it, the Titans and Abraham were trying to schedule a visit, but that the Peyton chase has delayed things.  With coach Mike Munchak and others traveling to meet with Manning, a visit with Abraham has not been scheduled.

Abraham, 33, has said that he wants more than $12 million per year.  Mario Williams is expected to command more than $15 million annually.

The $12,000,000 man takes his show on the road. Good luck with that.

Anybody pays him more that 12 million a year they should be fired on the spot.

Both these guys are overpriced at $12 and $15 mil a year. I’d rather have an $8 mil and $7 mil combo of two players than one guys at $15. Crazy. Didn’t Williams have like 11-12 sacks last year?

John Abraham. Thanks for nothing this past season. Love ATL

I love ya John, but you are not worth 12 mil a year. Wish you would stay with the Falcons, but it’s been fun man.

12 Mil a year for Abraham? He is good but he isn’t 12 mil good.

    I don’t want him
    You can have him
He costs too much for me.

John Abraham is a good DE but he wants way too much money. 12 million per year at age 33. I want to see who is going to overpay for this guy.

i wouldnt give abraham half that. and people wondered why reese drafted jpp when he already had tuck, kiwi, and osi….he did it so he’d never have to waste 10% of his cap on a has-been pass rushing “specialist”.

As a Titans fan, I’d prefer to spend the extra $3 million for Mario.

I will miss you John. You were a great Falcon.

  15. chipwade says: Mar 13, 2012 6:36 PM

I will play for $100k per season. You may not get the same production out of me that you would from Abe. But I am one year younger, have much less wear and tear, and won’t be so hard on the books.

  16. huskersrock1 says: Mar 13, 2012 6:36 PM

Maybe Abraham has be watching pawn stars

    I want 12 Million

I will pay you 3 million

Well can you at least do 4 million?

3.25 million take it or leave it.

$12 mili at 33 years old??? and that’s exactly why we don’t want you back in the ATL.

I remember Abrahams last year on the Jets knowing free agency was coming. Standing on the side lines so he wouldnt get hurt! What a bum
