Dont sweat what people say to you. I honestly think Moss will have a monster year. Crabtree will also benefit from him being on the field. Davis also benefits, and sees more space in the middle. Then the safetys back up, and Gore gets more yardage between the Ts.

The 49ers will be right back at the top of the NFC this year. I wish I were a fan. They have one of the best LB duos I can recall seeing in a very long time. Great time to be a 49er fan. They built a solid team, and they seem to have some solid leadership now.

Im jealous, to say the least.

This is his 2nd contract extention, 3rd contract with the same team that drafted him.

That should tell you how well thought of he is in the organization, by Brees, by the fans. Quiet storm. 1100 yds, 10 tds, 80 rec and will shut your face without uttering a word or making a gesture.

Wow man, that’s a giant waste of money. With Drew Brees at QB you could sign or draft anybody and they would be as good as Colston. Brees makes all his WR’s better. Money would have been much better spent on Carl Nicks.

no need to mess with the chemistry of a superbowl caliber passing game.

colston is a 1000 yd consistent wr who doesn’t drop balls, catches near 8-10 tds a yr, keeps his mouth shut, and is the great blocker.

I’ll take him over most of the divas out there.

The details of the contract will show that its worth in reality just near 30 mill with an extra 6-8 mill tacked on as unlikely incentives like pro bowls and all pro status which although he may be deserving, he won’t likely attain b/c the saints spread the ball around to graham, moore, sproles, etc

Hitting the open market is always a risk. There have been numerous times when a player tested the market only to find out the market didn’t want him. If the player is happy being there, and the offer is solid, like this one, then everybody wins.

Colston is more valuable to Saints than another team. Brees loves him and Jimmy Graham around the goal line. Tough to cover those big tall guys in the red zone. Great move Saints. #12 still has 5 great years left in him.

I really thought Colston and the Patriots were a match made in heaven. Quiet, big, sure-handed receiver. Perfect pairing with Gronkowski, Hernandez, and Welker.

With that said, the Saints is probably just as great a fit for him. I assume this means Brees will be staying now.

And unlike these Saints haters, I believe Coltson is worth the money and a great receiver. Brees didn’t just “make him” like Peyton Manning had done with guys like Austin Collie and Dallas Clark. The injuries are a concern, but they’re a concern for ANY football player.

Colston is a product of his offense and is really only an average WR. Though this is still a decent signing as long as he stays productive with Drew throwing..
Its a shame someone is gonna pay Peirre Garcon only for him to flop hes the worst on the market, teams would be better suited to pray for their “Victor Cruz” in the late draft rounds.

Al Davis wanted to draft him in the 3rd round but was talked out of his each round, Al was told no one knew who is was and we’ll sign him as an undrafted player. Al still knew some talent. Colston has been an outstanding player for the Saints, what a steal.
