Tracking the top 100 free agents

Getty Images

Most sites have ranked the top 50 free agents.  And so we’ve seen their 50 — and we’ve raised them another 50.

It was easy to do.  In large part because I didn’t have to do it.

Silva embraced the challenge and cranked out a proposed list faster than Costanza designed the expansion to the Guggenheim.  (It’s a dated reference, but I get nostalgic on the first day of free agency.)

We’ll be updating the list as players sign contracts.  Constantly refresh the page after free agency starts to find all the latest info.

And if you know about any signings that you haven’t seen on PFT, drop us a line.

Don’t forget to add Randy Moss after he shows up in 49rs camp the first week and pisses everyone off….

breaking report jets will target mike wallace of steelers. I’m hearing from my guys he will be offered 6 yr. 49 million and the steelers wont be able to match. it makes sense for the jets with burress gone. hey they like ex steeler recievers. steelers will get jets 1st round pick

Is this List in Order of Ranking? It appears like that from the top, but then makes no sense after the Top 10. Lots of good WR and OLine!

Love seeing Webb at 6…and Grubbs in the 20’s (maybe he’ll stay home)…but Jared Gaither at #5??? Really??? Wow, how soon 5 good games blinds otherwise smart people to this guy’s history.

A reminder to my favorite team: A. Stay focused and disciplined. Championship caliber teams are built through the draft and free agency is used only to plug a final hole or two and maybe add depth. B. Do NOT overpay and disrupt the pay scale within our organization. It’s more important to recognize and retain our own up and coming blue-chippers. C. forget the hype. I’d rather be written about in January then April.

This is a crap list as proven by #83 on the list. Shows how much research goes into things with this group, David Garrard was RELEASED LAST year by the Jaguars.

LOL Jared Gaither at 5. Didn’t KC release him after one game last season? I think he is decent, but top 5????? Top 5 free agents or soon to be free agents don’t get treated like that…
