APJason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Bengals have scheduled a free agent visit with running back BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Green-Ellis’ market has been underwhelming thus far. This is his first known free agent meeting.
The 27-year-old’s primary assets are ball security and short-yardage efficiency. Green-Ellis lacks big-play ability, and doesn’t help much in the passing game.
In Cincinnati, Green-Ellis would complement undersized but elusive Bernard Scott. The Bengals would likely also supplement the position in the draft.

This would absolutely pain me to see, although I would love to see BJGE back in a Pats uniform, I don’t believe they should over pay for him. Hope you take less to stick with the Pats.
Benny you’re a Patriot. Get back to Foxboro and sign a new (reasonable) contract before you start picking up a case of the bungles.
That’d be a quality signing. The guy is a patient runner. Would definitely need to team him up with someone with game breaking speed, of course.
We Pats’ fans love our Law Firm.
But being pragmatic, he is nothing more than a good backup. So if he’s your starter you know there is a problem.
Other than a bargain basement signing I think BB lets him walk. You don’t draft 2 RBs last year if you like the horses you got in the stable.
