Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reported Wednesday morning that free agent defensive lineman Kendall Langford has scheduled a meeting with the Bengals.

Per Reedy, the meeting will take place on Thursday.

Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post also reports that Langford, who has spent the past four seasons as a 3-4 defensive end with the Dolphins, is drawing interest from the Patriots and Falcons.

The 66th overall pick in the 2008 draft, Langford is a long-bodied end at 6-foot-6, 295. He would likely play defensive tackle in 4-3 schemes.

The 26-year-old is the No. 34 player on the PFT Hot 100.

  1. Langford will be really disappointed when he meets with Marvin Lewis over dinner and is asked to pay for his own meal.

  2. Marvin will pay for the meal even if he can’t expense it. Not sure Kendall will fit on the propellor plane Mike Brown sends to pick him up though. Never fun to be a bengals fan the first few days of free agency

  3. Mike Brown wanted to call Langford personally to extend his invitation to join the team. Instead, he sent him a post card, thereby avoiding any long distance charges.

  4. You know…….The Bengals…by the end of the day, will be the only team with $50,000,000 in cap space left over. Most assuredly the remaining unsigned free agents will likely douse themselves in gasoline and light themselves on fire than sign with my Bungles.

    “my bungles”?

Of course the non-Bengals fans want to jump in and make dumb jokes about the team and Mike Brown. Did you really think it was necessary to join them?

There are lots of other teams out there to root for buddy.

  6. inside source with knowledge of the visit says brown sent a yellow cab to pick him up and he was asked to pick up the tab for his and marvins’ dinner.
