Paying someone 130 mil for playing with a pointy ball a few months out of the year is not only obscene but sinful. Sorry folks, don’t care how nice a guy this young man is. He doesnt do anything remotely socially or ethically significant to justify this kind of financing.

That being said, stupid is as stupid does. We consumers are allowing this to happen.

Thats the same thing Lions’ fans said when they heard he signed a long term deal. Not too long ago they were 0-16. Now they’re serious Super Bowl contenders.

I remember before last year some Detroit reporters were already bringing up if he plans on staying with Detroit and he didn’t say yes or no but I just want to win.. Literally last year was what locked up megatron. I was super worried when he said all I want to do is win but it all seemed to work out and all the Detroit fans couldn’t be happier.

Johnson, Cliff or Suh must be traded can’t win with 4 over paid players one maybe two, the team have to keep Stafford QB that can get 5,000 yds is hard to find T,DE,WO is a dime a dozen.

Suh, Johnson or Cliff have to go for a better team.
Calvin is a great WO New York won the Super Bowl with good WO
it take a team 25 or more good to great players to win in the NFL.

Could have got 4 DB’s and had something left for a LB or two, can’t afford him he will make great plays for Sport Center and the team will be a home after the second round of the playoff.

Detroit Lions will be at home while the Pats go deep in the playoff with two top dollar stars the Packers with one.

Now all the Loins have to figure out is how to sign (or keep) ‘quality’ players when Suh, Stafford & Johnson account for 1/3 of the cap each year for the next few years.

Well, his franchise number next year would’ve been like $25 million, so this is a better alternative.
Nonetheless an absurd amount of guaranteed money for a wide out, even if it is this guy or Fitzgerald.

At least they’re both terrific players and good guys.
But between the contracts of Suh, Stafford and Magatron…

Great news for all Lions fans. Plus I think that if you are gonna pay someone that kind of money, you make sure it is to a real consumate pro like CJ.

The Lions are possibly a physical run game and one all pro corner away from being serious contenders. Sure they need tweeks in other areas, but all contenders do.
