At a time when plenty of teams are signing players to new contracts, the Eagles are taking care of players who already are on the team.

On Tuesday, guard Todd Herremans agreed to terms on an extension. On Wednesday, the Eagles announced a four-year extension with defensive end Trent Cole.

Cole was already under contract through 2013, at base salaries of $2.9 million and $3.4 million, respectively, over the next two seasons.

A fifth-round draft pick in 2005, Cole became a full-time starter in his second season. He has 68 career sacks, including three straight double-digit seasons.
