ESPN’s Josina Anderson reports that the Chicago Bears will host free agent cornerback Kelvin Hayden on Wednesday.
Hayden is 28 years old and has been pursued by the Bears in the past. He has experience in a defense similar to the system Lovie Smith runs in Chicago after spending his first six NFL seasons with Indianapolis.
The Bears re-signed Tim Jennings on Tuesday, and will likely use him as a starter across from Charles Tillman. Chicago could use another cornerback with starting capability, however.
Hayden has 47 career starts. He spent last season with the Falcons.
