Mario Williams is scheduled to leave Buffalo tonight

Mario+Williams-1 Getty Images

As Bills fans wait for white smoke to come from the chimney of Ralph Wilson Stadium, it looks like Mario Williams could soon be moving on, at least physically.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells PFT that Williams is scheduled to leave town tonight.

Williams arrived on Tuesday.  Earlier today, his fiancee arrived.  He picked her up at the airport, and they return to team headquarters.

As of Tuesday, three other teams wanted to meet with Williams.

Something tells me Williams got a big dose of stink eye from his fiancé when she realized where she would be living at least 6 months out of the year.

Not a shot @ Buffalo, it’s just not for everyone, particularly someone who I am assuming was born and raised in a very different part of the country.

GO GMEN!

Niagara Falls really is beautiful, on the Canadian side though.

I can’t believe how crazy the city of Buffalo is about this possible signing, it’s wild. I turned on WGR550 on the way home today and they actually bumped the Jim Rome show to talk about this.

I think he’s a good player, but man, everyone’s going on like he’s the 2nd coming of Christ.

Whatever, if it makes everyone there happy, I hope you get him.

    @jade amor

In the only interview Mario has given this off season he states that he’s already had all the things he’s ever wanted being the 1st player picked at the NFL draft in 2008. Money isn’t a big deal for Mario, he wants to win a superbowl.

O an he’s coming back to the Texans. Enjoy the ride for the next two weeks.

But wait, he was scheduled to leave, which surely meant he was using the Bills, that his wife hated Buffalo, blah blah, blah.

This is obviously designed to let the scrivenors put the details of a contract together. Also give Mario and his fiancee time to hang out with his future teammates and their SOs.

So sorry to all the Buffalo Bashers.

He is spending a second night in Buffalo tonight and will be back at the stadium tomorrow morning….if he wasn’t going to sign, he wouldn’t spend a second night in “the frozen tundra” “the American Siberia”, “the Arm pit of America”, etc… face it haters, he’s signing with Buffalo.

Western New York is a GREAT place to play pro football and start a family. Simple and real. Enjoy it, Mario!
