I want to buy in to the new RAIDER regime, but I am also a little, lets say concerned ’bout not signing any talent yet. All these cuts I understand, are needed to make us stronger. Still, I remember the last head coach we got from denver who cut Mat Millen…..(sorry DA). Hope this turns out better. We shall see.

by not drafting a well developed nucleus, at led to a series of failed signings, traded failed picks like (Fabian Washington and Tyler Brayton), and the loss of legacy players like Charles Woodson.

They are essentially blowing it up and starting all over again…without draft picks, and they’ll have to trade talent or go with 2nd tier cast-offs from June cuts and a lot of undrafted free agency.

I’ll miss big John but his health has been a concern from the get go.

Carlisle was serviceable, as someone mentioned earlier, but it’s time to move on.

I like where we are right now.

Reggie keeps cutting and the offense will stay on the field and play defense. I agree, get rid of the fat, the lazy, the players collecting only a paycheck, but sign some players to take their place. Is Reggie looking for a big signing by getting rid of all the salary cap?

Way to go, Reggie! Did any true Raider fan think cleaning up the front ineptitude would be an overnight process! This is the price we’re paying for not having a competent network of front office personnel: overpaying mediocre players, pitiful scouting, and no network of communication within the overall front office. After looking at the years of mess on the books when he first arrived, we should be happy the guy didn’t turn around and say, Thanks, but no thanks!” Face it, our front office was in disarray and the guy is doing what he has to do. Finally, some order in the house….GO SILVER AND BLACK!

Honestly, some of you guys need to relax. Games are not won in March or the first few days of free agency (ask the Eagles how last season went with all their big names). You see Pittsburgh or Green Bay picking anyone up yet? The Raiders will make moves. Oakland is just being deliberate and smart. There are a lot of good football players still out there, and there will be more in the draft (although I know the Raiders are short on picks right now) and some right off the street.

I’m getting more excited about the changes in the Raider organization. It’s obvious we were not getting things done with the current roster. We should, with the money being saved, be able to rebuild our secondary. Looking forward to seeing the additions. GO RAIDERS!

mikeeg doesn’t understand how money works. You have to have money in order to spend it. How can he bring in players when the Raiders have to be under the cap? These moves are making it possible to sign guys later on.

Would love to see Chris Myers and Winston from the Texans join our o-line…Familiar with the zone blocking we are gonna run. Which no one runs a true all out zone i pretty sure we are gonna mix it up either way these guys are tough football players and the release of Winston by the Texans has to be the dumbest ever…young, not a big contract and should have made the probowl the last two years…Raiders4life

I agree with Mikeeg. It good to get rid of some dead wood, but all I hear is players going out and none coming in. Are we going to play with 25 guys going two ways, like Necessary Roughness. I’ll feel better when some free agents start to visit. Too bad we cut Kevin Boss. We should have used him more in the red zone.

You gotta understand that Reggie, is freeing up more $$ with these cuts, who out there whould be worthy of signing on now? and the ones i have listed are not jumping in with any team just yet so they may have been contacted by Reggie or D.A. to hang in while we trim a bit – we need to be patient, we havent been this patient in a long time, thats why we are cutting the ones we signed right off the bat!! perfect ex: Kevin Boss, so ease up and hang in there Reggie is on track –

Here is my list of FA’s that would be sweet add on’s –

LB – Curtis Lofton
LB – Manny Lawson
CB – Brandon Carr
CB- Tracy Porter
C – Chris Myers From Houston

Lock up these guys and we’re set i dont see anyone else as worthy on the offensive side of the ball –

Carlisle wasnt as bad as people think. He was serviceable, but the youth movement is on in Oakland. They have a couple of young good OL in Veldeer and Lil Wiz. So long Coop, thanks for the effort. Big John, too bad you werent healthy. Reggie getting things ready for next year and the next. Those will be great drafts and FA pickups. Dont get your hopes now people. Reggie is just getting the house in order.

People forget that McKenzie has a track record to add players who were udfa, late round picks, and 2nd/3rd tier FAs who are cut by teams later. I don’t remember a big name FA Green Bay brought in under McKenzie besides Woodson.
