Brandon Meriweather will visit the Jets

Brandon Meriweather AP

Brandon Meriweather has another visit lined up.

Meriweather, the free agent safety who has already visited the Broncos and Redskins, will visit the Jets today, according to Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News.

The Jets have a major need at safety, so it’s no surprise that Meriweather is a player they’d like to sign. The Jets missed out on safety Dwight Lowery and are also interested in safety LaRon Landry.

After playing his first four seasons with the Patriots, Meriweather went to Chicago last year, where he played 11 games and started four.

Perfect fit for the Jets – a totally undisciplined player on a totally undisciplined team……

Please pick him up Rex! With Sanchez on offense and this bonehead on D, NE is salivating! You’re rapidly pushing yourselves to the bottom of the AFC

Are the Jets really that stupid? Then again, they did make Santonio Holmes their captain.

If I were Belichick I’d be concerned about Merriweather giving up the Patriots secrets on how to give up a billion passing yards in a game.

Just what we need…another under-preforming player! Oh… I can’t wait for the season to start!!! :(

The NYJ won’t be able to pass on a new “honorary captain” for when they play the Pats.

One would think that Haslett would have learned his lesson about BB’s safeties when he traded for Tebucky Jones in NO only to have a major media rant about him soon after.

Can we stop tagging every Merriweather post with “Patriots” yet? He’s dead to us.
