No more Gregg Williams, now he needs a boost at QB. Nice one Fisher.

Every new QB, as in, the ones who have yet to play a game in the NFL, will be coming into the league in the same situation. Every quarterback that is learning anything at all or is new in any way will be faced with this broad rule that covers every team. This is not specific to the Rams or Bradford or Fisher.

If nobody is complaining about developing the draft picks, why are you complaining about developing a quarterback who has been in the league for a couple years?

What I do know is Sam is better than any of you couch potatoes commenting. Fisher just wants to have the best opportunity to succeed & is comparing what he notices should be diffrent. For Sam to be such a Big 12 system QB (As put by somebody who watches to much ESPN) he sure did pickup the pro style offense quick. You can’t blame his #’s when he can’t keep his receivers on the field & his qb coaches & systems keep changing. Maybe if he had the right teachers he’d flourish (See Alex Smith).

Competition Committee membership makes some guys into whiners. Or maybe it’s BECAUSE they are whiners that they serve on it. Why do people think Fisher is some great coach anyway? Plus he’s a punk. I would want my HC fired if he pulled a dumb stunt like wearing the opposing QB’s jersey to a public event and saying he just wanted to “feel like a winner”.

To be fair, the rule is a little ridiculous. I could understand them making a rule that does not allow teams to make offseason meetings mandatory. But, if a player wants to get together with a coach to better their craft…why should that be against the rules. It’s like they are trying to make the playing field level for those who are lazy.

The only thing that will stunt Bradford’s development is his new OC, the tumor that was recently removed from Sanchez…I feel bad for Bradford, with his durability issues and questionable O-line, this clown might get him killed.

I have no love for the Rams or Jeff Fisher, but everyone here isn’t thinking logically about these comments. You can all say cry me a river or compare this to last year with Cam and Andy, but think about it. Did Jeff Fisher call up ESPN.com and say “hey, i got something I wanna complain about”??? Nope, they asked him for an interview. And they likely posed a question like “you were out last year when the new CBA went into effect, what changes are you seeing now that you’re back?” or “how is sam doing with the new offense?” Then PFT takes the answer to that and makes it look like Fisher is a whiner. Which is of course what they love to do on this site.

I can’t believe I read these articles anymore. Where is Fisher quoted as saying he is worried about anything or that he thinks it’s going to stunt Bradford’s development?

The headline has nothing to do with the quotes. I am guessing there is not much of an editing process on this site.

A lot of geniuses commenting today. Anyway, I’ve been wondering since the new CBA, is it that the players can’t have contact with the coaches or that they can’t be forced to? Is it that they are prohibited from have more than x amount of practices with pads or that they can’t be forced to but can if they want to?

That’s a good question. I just heard Cutler on the radio and he said something about talking to (QB coach) about putting the old plays back in from Denver. Maybe the player has to contact the coach. Maybe this is Fisher’s way of saying “Get your @$$ in here”.

This gives Sam May, June, July, August and half of April to learn Marty’s system. Pretty much 3 months more than he got learning McDaniel’s system.

Cry me a river. What about all of the rookie QBs who had to go almost an entire offseason without speaking to their coach? Or the rookie coaches like Harbaugh.

Bradford is widely thought of as a good QB. He’s not a rookie. Plus its a rule all of the teams have to follow. So what is the problem?

How about the garbage o-line and void at the WR corps? Bradford is a solid QB but like any other QB in the league, needs complimentary pieces in order to succeed. The kid isn’t a moron and this isn’t the first time he’s had to adopt a new system.
