Funny how Stanton is bashed in Detroit and Sanchez gets it from the New York. In reality both are good QB’s despite all these dumb comments. Sanchez problem last year was the fact they didnt have Braylon Edwards. Stanton has showed he has what it takes but given a shot to over he has not. Not saying he needs to take over but be relief for a few games if necessary. I like both but I dont think the Jets has the same offensive line to protect Sanchez. If they was smart they would do what they did a couple of years ago. Build that offensive line from FA guys that didnt pan out on their last team.

I think the Jets need to focus on a Tackle more than backup QB. With Mario Williams in Buffalo, Wayne Hunter is gonna be having a lot of trouble. Then again, Sanchez is going to get hammered in the pocket so maybe backup QB isn’t that bad of an idea…

Borth backup QB’s for Detroit did well when Stafford went down in recent years. Stanton has a good chance of beating out Sanchez and help the Jets.

Well he’s no worse than Sanchez, and alot cheaper. Quality backup with good mobility. Not sure what the dig is about with lack of “impact”, what impact are you expecting from a backup QB?

At this point does it really matter who the backup is? Rex and Co. have made it as clear as daylight that there’s absolutely nothing Sanchez can do to get benched.
