The frugality continues. I think we have surpassed the Bengals in that area. Only difference is that Mike Brown doesn’t pretend to spend big on players and coaches. Don’t be fooled Dolfans, Ross talks big spending, but that’s for show. He’s more worried about pinching pennies than winning. He’s telling the fans & media he’s still in the running for Manning for 2 reasons: to not look cheap, and to let the higher-priced FA’s come off the market. It will seem absolutely terrible for a couple years but you can see the results. The dominant NFL teams don’t go around buying every free agent they can get their hands on… it just doesn’t work. See the 2011 Eagles and every Redskins team since, well, forever.
