I was just puzzled as to why Wayne would not follow Manning. I believe Wayne would have went to Miami only and that he knew last week that was not going happen so he stayed home in Indy. It all makes sense now! The 49ers pull this off look out…I really believe it’s Niners or Denver at this point.

I think the 49ers need one more stud WR to finish this off!

I would make sure to pick the best WR in the draft with the 1st pick if I am San Fran. I would also even trade up to make sure I get a solid #1.

But…the cost may be too much.

Think as to why the Colts sucked without him,
was it because the front office (GM) didnt stock good talent or because of PM’s contract they could not pay for good talent depth?

Alex or Peyton, either way this season will be interesting for the Niners.

Play off yes:
• WEAK division
• Improved Red Zone managment

Superbowl, no way in….
• Packers
• Saints (w/ a new chip on their shoulder)
• Lack of WR depth (46 year old Moss does not count)
• No backup QB should there be some tragic hit

Manning WAS great but this isn’t 2004 anymore. The jury is out on wether he’ll be Montana in KC good or Favre in NY bad, neither of which won a SB on new team.

Crabs is a stone hand bust, Moss is a has been and Davis is a great TE with decent but not great speed.

LOLOL the worst post of the day! First of all – Vernon Davis ran a 4.38 forty at the combine bro. He’s technically THE FASTEST TE in the league!

Also since 2004 – I believe Peyton won another 1-2 MVP’s. As of 2010, he had 33 td’s and 17 int’s on a team we saw that wasn’t very talented as it turned out. That run game was way off -and he still had top 5 stats.

As for Favre in New York before he got injured he looked damn good as well. Peyton in Tenn or SF will be just fine. Denver as well.

If the Niners get Manning I dont see any reason they won’t be in the super bowl…

Peyton has a jacked up neck and if the O line doesn’t get fixed, he’ll be riding pine by the second game. What good will he be then? I like Peyton. If he were good enough to play though, he’d still be in Indy.

Now one argument could be they did that to keep it secret, so that Peyton could then work out for other teams find out his value then come back to the niners with a price tag.

Another argument could be that they had planned to sign him in secret and shock the world, but the niners didnt like what they saw, as a curtsey to peyton they kept it quiet.
