Skelton outplayed Kolb. Watch the freaking games. Kolb was 2-6 in games throwing 10 passes or more. Skelton was 6-2. Take away the first SF game and the next week against the Rams and Skelton has 11 TD’s 9 INTs. Skelton redeemed himself the next game against SF leading AZ to a win.

Kolb and his agent are geniuses. Consider the $12 mil he got from the Eagles before the trade and the bonuses he has been paid in the last 10 months. His million per start ratio is the highest in NFL history. Don’t cry for him Argentina.

Unless you think 11 TDs, 14 INTs, a QBR of 68.8, and a completion % of 54.9 is “good” over 8 games?

Miss out on Manning.

If nothing else, the Cards better pray Manning doesn’t end up in SF (I doubt he will), because that will just be the ultimate kick in the teeth.

Ken Whisenhunt is a fine coach in many ways, but his ability to size up QB talent is DISASTROUS.

He thought Derek Anderson and the munchkin, Max Hall, were the answer. Then they paid $21 million per career victory to get Kolb, an even worse move.

Most would wonder why Andy Reid would let him go, when he knew his starter, Michael Vick, was bound to miss games because of his playing style.

He let him go because he knew Kolb has a glass jaw, as he was knocked out of the first game he started for the Eagles. He’s a walking concussion waiting to happen.

This is on Whisenhunt and the abysmal GM Rod Graves, the genius who passed on local ASU hero Terrell Suggs to take Calvin Pace, another example of Graves trying to prove he’s the smartest guy in the room but instead proving he’s the dumbest.

Pace ended up on the side of a milk carton while here in AZ, suitable for an Amber Alert, while Suggs is on his way to the HOF.

Jeez, do people love to hate on the Cards, but guys like Adrian Wilson and Larry Fitzgerald are changing the culture there. It takes time. Ask the Bucs, before they won their Super Bowl. Go on hatin’, but just come around and put your name on it when the Cards win the NFC West again.

All of the Miami and Seattle fans out there who are screaming for their team to do whatever it takes to sign Matt Flynn: Buyer Beware.

Flynn might be the next Kurt Warner but there is just as good a chance that he is Kevin Kolb. I think Kolb will eventually be a very competent quarterback.

Only difference is neither team will pay him Kolb money. Nor will any team have to give up draft picks and players to obtain his services.

As a Seahawks fan, I don’t see this as particularly good news. Kolb had less than a full season to prove himself last year. Troy Aikman, Peyton Manning, and Matt Hasselbeck all looked like garbage when they first started out. It doesn’t mean anything.

I think Kolb is a decent QB and he’s going to get it figured out. He may not be the next Montana, but he’s good enough to make the Cardinals competitive, and I know that because I saw it in person last season.

The Cardinals lucked into the right decision. The NFC West is going to be an excellent division next season, and Kolb will keep them competitive.

The Cards were used by Manning, to drive up his asking price, so F him. I haven’t totally lost faith in Kolb (he’s a smart, solid pro, and he will work on his flaws), and Skelton’s got an intangible quality that seems to overcome the deficiencies in his game…maybe the Cards pick up a Weeden or Osweiler in the draft? With Fitz, anyone’s going to connect for, at least, some touchdowns. Got to get the ground game going, and the Cards can win the way that the ‘Niners did last year, with running and brute force on D.

i dont know Cards Cap right now… but at the start of FA they were like 16 million over.

So pretty much NO WAY to Sign Peyton, 1st Cut 16 Million, then cut another 12-20 to Sign Peyton…
