APThe Cardinals signed Chansi Stuckey last offseason in hopes that he could at least push Early Doucet for the team’s slot receiver job. Stuckey made it into only nine games, starting none.
On Friday, Jason Cole of Yahoo! Sports reported that the Cardinals have released Stuckey.
Stuckey was due $2 million, including a $1.75 million base salary and $25,000 workout bonus.
The Cardinals may explore using the savings to retain Doucet, who remains unsigned.

Stuckey was pretty much a non factor all season. He fumbled away the ball after a key pass that helped the Cards lose a game. That’s about all I remember about him this year. Hope they resign Doucet though. He knows the system. Still waiting for him to have that break out year though.
With $2 million coming due, there was Not A Chansi Stuckey.
