APThe Chargers announced Friday night that they have finalized a two-year deal with safety Atari Bigby.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, it’s a $2.5 million deal that could max out at $4.5 million.
Bigby is a physical, 30-year-old defensive back who could compete with a draft pick for the Chargers’ starting strong safety job. The Union-Tribune San Diego has reported that Chargers G.M. A.J. Smith is a “huge fan” of Notre Dame strong safety Harrison Smith, and might consider him in the draft’s second round.

he’s worth 2.5 to 4.5 on that name alone
The guy was a big hitter with the Packers but that’s about all that can be said about him.

Then you’ll be glad to know that’s all the Chargers need in their SS.
Everytime I see that name I think of Atari Rugby. Not sure if they ever made one for 2600, but the football game was kinda cool.

I totally agree with you on that, its just a shame that injuries wound up cutting his career short in GB. He was extremely fun to watch and it would be a lie to say he didn’t contribute to making the NFC Championship that year.
Irrelevant since 2007.
