ReutersEric Hansen of the South Bend Tribune reports that the Indianapolis Colts have signed safety Tom Zbikowski to a three-year contract.
Zbikowski spent his first four NFL seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. Former Ravens defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano is now the Colts’ head coach, and Indianapolis has a hole at strong safety after releasing Melvin Bullitt.
The 27-year-0ld Zbikowski will be a candidate to replace Bullitt, as well as play on special teams. Through four seasons, Zbikowski has racked up 14 starts, 75 tackles, and two interceptions. He can also return kicks and punts.

I am very surprised Rex Ryan showed no interest considering they need safety help. That might tell you what you need to know about his abilities
good guy. only average footballer. we drafted him and Nakamura in the same draft. He was a 3rd rounder. Nak was a 6th rounder. No question – Nak was the better player. Zibby is a better boxer than a football player, but he will do well in Chucks defense. I wish him the best. Thanks for your time in Bmore.
Some may say “Ravens are getting thin on the D-side losing all of these FA’s,” but I see it as the Ravens D is so good, teams are clamoring to snatch up our former players, even both back up safeties, to start on their team. Which both Zibs and Haruki will do for the Colts and Panthers respectively. That being said, looks like safety will be a 2nd or 3rd round pick in the draft this year given Reed’s uncertainty these days.
You can have him
They might be 0-16 next year.

Don’t forget his deft skills in the boxing ring. Sure, his opponents were two or three weight classes below him, but who’s counting?
Cool – now he can buy that last vowel.
Average boxer, awful safety. The Colts are a terrible franchise.

Brilliant comment
Props to the Ravens drafting skills, other teams should take notes

Too bad, he might have been a nice fit for the Bears. I’m curious to know what the money is. Being back in Indiana should be a good fit for him, though.
Colt fans will have to have a program to figure out who is on the field this year. Talk about cleaning house, whew!
Could he have a record for the healthiest safety to ever play for the Colts???
I played football with him in high school (I was a freshman at BGHS when he was a senior). Everyone found him to be arrogant and an idiot (17 on his first ACT). Hopefully he’s become a better teammate since then, but I’m afraid he’s still a moron. Can’t say this signing should excite Indy fans.
Zbikowski, Nakamura, Cory Redding, Jarrett Johnson, Ben Grubbs, Rickey Williams, Lee Evans, and (possibly) Jameel McClain, Matt Birk, Gurode and McKinnie.
The Ravens are leaking.

Birk re-signed for 3 years,McClain has yet to sign with anyone, and McKinnie is still under contract with the Ravens.
The only thing leaky is your fact gathering.
Seems Raven fan apparently going with the “what, me worry?” response.
Did you guys hear the Ravens beat the Steelers twice? Never mind the last time they went to a Super Bowl Bill Clinton was President. 2012 AFC North Champs!
What, me worry?
In Ozzie we trust my friend!
Hey, did you guys hear that there was an idiot Steelers fan on here who thought Clinton was president when the Ravens won the Super Bowl, when really it was George W Bush?
I’m sure he was one of those guys who was screaming like a banshee a few years ago when the Steelers beat the Ravens three times in a season, but now is kinda sensitive about the senior citizens in Pittsburgh losing to the Ravens twice this year.
gotcaughtbleating is more like it.
I hate to see him go, but Bernard Pollard has played so well it’s not much of a surprise. I wish him the best.

He was close…
George W. was sworn in as POTUS only a week earlier on 1/21/01.
Therefore, the 2000 season was played while Clinton was in office.
I knew zibikowski and its sad to see him go
