I'm a Dolphin fan and I don't really care if we don't get Flynn. It's not like he's going to lead us to the promise land. He can't be that much better than Matt Moore. I think Miami would be better off trading back in the first round for an extra 2nd round pick. With that they can draft Michael Floyd or Kendal Wright. We could then pick up Weeden in the 2nd round with that extra pick. Weeds could sit for the first 4 games and then take over if Moore doesn't win.

stealthhawk says:
Mar 16, 2012 12:22 PM
dolfanatik says: “If Flynn wants to be successful he’ll sign with Miami. If it’s about money, Seattle. I don’t know if Carroll runs the WCO but I don’t see hawks being relevant with 49 ers emergence.”

Umm…excuse me but I believe you that backwards. The Dolphins have a completely barren offense and are so desperate that they’d likely offer more money than Seattle. The Seahawks have much better weapons for Flynn to come in and work with. Not to mention the Dolphins play in the AFC East and are going nowhere fast. 49ers emergence? They played well on a third place schedule with an overachieving Alex Smith.

3rd place schedule huh?? we all played the NFC EAST, AFC CENTRAL, & the division so you can put that excuse back in your pocket

I'd really like Manning to make up his effing mind already. He's holding up the entire QB signing process. As long as he hasn't committed to a team all interested parties are going to hold out hope that "their offer," will be the dark horse.

He's had at least 5 months to think about and plan where he wants to play and he's still behaving like a window shopper. Ridiculous.

Those Seahawks sure love those Green Bay back-up QB’s, don’t they? Hasselbeck didn’t get it done? Well, let’s try Flynn.

Apparently you are 12 and didn't see most of Hasselbecks career in Seattle. He went to multiple pro-bowls and led the team to a Super Bowl. If that isn't getting it done then there is no getting it done. He also led the team to the playoffs in most of his seasons in Seattle.

If Flynn could come close to Hasselbecks accomplishments in Seattle then I'd be very happy if they sign him.

Haha...everyone is asking "what about TJack and Whitehurst"? LOL...what about them? Both are no more than career backups. You guys are living in a dream world if you think either of them is going to lead the Hawks to the big game. Not saying that Flynn is a guarantee, but he definitely has the higher ceiling and most potential. The Hawks might be a legit contender if they can solidify the QB spot. Maybe Flynn is the answer, or maybe not.

As for Miami, it would be great if Flynn signed with Seattle w/o even visiting Miami. That is what they get for going all in on Manning and letting Flynn slip through their fingers. Seattle definitely has the better supporting cast, even more so with B Marshall gone. Not to mention, Seattle is in an easierconference. Go to Seattle Flynn

This screwball owner in Miami is trying to get in with Jerry Jones and Daniel Snyder.

Look, Flynn knows the WCO. That's where he needs to play - for years. Kolb was sent to a team (Cardinals) that run a vertical offense, and he can't play in it. Flynn has to make sure that where he goes, he STAYS for 3-4 years running the WCO.

Miami is not a stable situation. If the Dolphins don't win big in 2 years, you can count on Philbin being dumped for whatever name coach got fired somewhere, and Flynn will find himself out of his element in an offense he cannot run.

Worse yet, the Seahawks don't even run the WCO now.

If his price wasn't so high, he could have asked the Browns to talk to him, where their entire coaching staff is committed to the WCO, and Holmgren isn't going anywhere as President.

I had a lot of hopes for Matt Flynn. But I think there is a very good chance that yes, he does turn into another Kevin Kolb.

It also would not be smart on Flynn's part to know another team needs his services and don't at least listen to hear what they have to say.
I know a lot of people think Miami is slipping in free agency and Philbin is timid but remember he comes from Green Bay, they do things the right way there....through the draft not through free agency. We may hear very little from the Fins similar to Green Bay but thats the way Philbin was taught. Maybe its just me but I'll give it a shot....I gave Parcells a shot with moving all his Cowboy rejects (even Sporano) down to S Beach. And with the 8th pick in the draft the Fins select........Ryan Tannehill out of Texas A&M

Yea this seems about right for the Dolphins. This is what happens when the front office is a made up of a bunch of clowns! How do they let Flynn go to Seattle first? Didn't they see the writing on the wall that Manning had no interest in Miami? They're the laughing stock of the NFL for good reason.

It blows my mind to see how judgmental some of these people are while being so uninformed.

Yes- Philbin coached Flynn, but Shneider (Hawks GM) drafted him.

Kolb 2.0? Maybe. How about Hasselbeck 2.0? You can crap on Matt all you want b/c we never won a SB, but he got us there and to the playoffs for like 7 straight seasons. Had we had a little more stout of a defense, he'd have a ring.

Everyone can make their predictions on a QB, but at the end of the day, you have to let them prove themselves. Luck could be Peyton 2.0 or he could be Leaf 2.0.... We don't know yet. He's one injury or horrendous girlfriend away from being a bust.

Finally- anyone saying he'd have a better chance of winning in Miami is an idiot. Not only does your franchise suck. (Your #1 back is Reggie Bush) But you haven't been close to the playoffs in forever and share a division with the Patriots, Jets and upcoming Bills.

Seattle fell off for a few years (Thank you Jim Mor'on) but we've made a quick turn around and the *possibility* that Matt Flynn could lead this team is HUGE.

Go Hawks.
