Manning will work out for Titans on Saturday

Three teams remain in the Peyton chase, for now.  Two of them have seen Manning throw, a critical piece of a complex physical puzzle that balances the health of his neck with the strength of his arm with the risk of further injury.  On Saturday, the third team will witness personally Peyton’s current abilities.

Jonathan Hutton of 104.5 The Zone in Nashville (via NFL.com) reports that Manning will throw for the Titans on Saturday.  The time is known (10:45 a.m. ET), but the location isn’t.

Manning reportedly will make a decision on Monday or Tuesday.  He’s currently considering the Titans, Broncos, and 49ers.

Of course, the group is subject to change.  In large part because it seems to change pretty much every day.

Somewhere near the end of March, as Peyton was throwing for his fourteenth team his arm went dead and his head flopped forward onto his chest where it lolled back and forth, loosely.

All this fuss over a 36 year old QB coming off an injury who hasn’t thrown a pass in over 16 NFL games. Wow

Pretty much changes every day. Well so what? If I had Peyton’s abilities I’d get what I thought was best for me and my family. This team will be the last one in his career. 2 weeks isn’t a long time out of one’s life. That way you son’t live regretting what you coulda, woulda, shoulda done. What a blessing to be in Peyton’s position. If he wasn’t so valuable in football no one would care.

When is “the decision” special on Espn going to be broadcasted. “im taking my talents to… The bay area!”. Ya buddy. On the real though I’m getting kind of tired of all this manning stuff. Make a decision and hopefully it’s the 9ers!

I hear you, and fully understand what your getting at, but that said, he is one of the best QB’s to play the game, and arguably the best of this modern era. You can’t blame a team for taking a gamble in hopes he has a few more years left in the tank. Even at 90%, he’s better than the majority of starters in the league right now.

I think he is going to the Niners. He obviously has been negotiating with them on the down low if he already had a physical and has thrown for them before they announced publicly that they were in the mix. Still hoping he becomes a Titan.

Does anyone remember 2 years ago when the colts played the broncos. Specifically, manning was on the sideline while the defense was on field and trainers were holding a cover over him on a beautiful day. I also know that in indy the colts rarely had the multimillion dollar roof open even though it was beautiful outside. the point is how is he going to be able to play in these outdoor stadiums on a regular basis when he wouldn’t even open the roof in indy? Believe me, the roof was closed by his request, the city didn’t spent all the money for giggles.

Why is anyone bashing Manning? He is going through the routines any free agent would go through lining up his next job. He isn’t doing anything special or seeking attention. It isn’t his fault the sports reporters are constantly looking for a zillion different angles to come up with something
    “Manning” to report on.

At this point let just have a throwback year and aikman,Marino,Kelly, moon, plunkett, theisman, jaworski,Simms and elway could all comeback and play one more year for their teams.then that is something you could write every other story about.
