There’s a reason he was the #12 player on the list. Seattle’s front four is already very good. Adding a pass-rushing 3-tech to the mix is huge.

As a Titans fan I can honestly say I could care less JJ is gone.

Seahawk fans lemme give you a run down of your new DT…

For those who say “cool another big body up front”, well he’s not a big body at all in fact he’s only 275 and got hurt constantly playing inside.

This is why he was switched to DE, he just couldn’t hold up at all inside. At DE he displayed virtually no pass rushing moves. He solely relies on quickness to blow by blockers, if that doesn’t work he gets stoned 100% of the time.

I suppose he’ll be in almost exclusively on 3rd downs, rushing the passer from the inside.

Just thought I’d let you know a bit about the guy you signed. Believe me or not, this is how I see him having watched every single Titans snap for his entire tenure.

Watched all of his games. He is a little soft against the run, but for a team needing a DT to rush the passer he is a perfect fit. The Titans wasted him at DE last season. Smart pickup by the Seahawks.

were going to grab a DE in the first round IMO and this move with jones just makes that investment so much better. it will give the young guy more support and the ability to grow into his role on the team.

This was the #2 DL on many’s wish list here. Dollar to sack wise JJ is a much better deal. The #9 D last year just got much better. Now we need to plug in a couple LB’ers to finish it off. Keuchley will look really good in Hawk Blue next year.

You can never have enough big bodies up front, and if he can add to the pass rush (which was anemic outside of Clemons last season), so much the better.

Was very glad to see Buffalo sign Williams, since they would have been looking pass rush in the first round. Signing him makes it more likely a top DE/OLB prospect falls Seattle’s way.

Get more pass rush, and watch that young, talented secondary rob people blind all year long.
