At first when I looked at the situation with Alex I felt bad for him but then when I looked a little closer at the whole 49ers -Alex Smith history my feelings changed! 1. Alex did not just get on our team 2 or 3 years ago ,he’s been there for 7YEARS!!! So for 7 years all the money and time we have invested in him says alot about our loyalty to him as well as his to us. 2. This past season is the first season he has ever given us anywhere close to what we thought we would have in a quarterback when we took HIM #1 in the 2005 Draft! 3. The 49ers organization as a whole have done nothing but support this guy for years! Alex Smith has had what IMO is a fair contract from this organization for months now and not signed it , leaving the 49ers in limbo when he should have jumped at the chance to sign any deal presented because if he was willing to take a 1year deal last year for 5million how is a 3year /8million a year deal an insult to him. 4. If he had signed the deal along time ago then He would not be in this situation at all!!! PLUS if he were to sign the deal and then go out and Win a Super Bowl or 2 with this powerful team why would they ever make a change at QB! At the end of the Deal we offered him He’d only be 30yrs old and still be able to get that MEGA Million dollar deal and years that he wants!!! So when I really think about it I don’t feel JH or Baalke or his agent did Alex wrong! I think Alex did Alex Wrong!!!!

No matter what conference Peyton plays in, the potential is there that he’ll have to beat his brother Eli either in a play off game or in the Superbowl to WIN a Superbowl. This theory is so idiotic. Like these guys can just pick and chose when they go to the SB as though it’s that easy.

Sticking to the topic at hand, as a 32-year Niner season ticket holder I say sign Manning. Gore is getting older/injury prone so Harbaugh has to either get another to top-tier back or transition to more of a passing game. Hence, Fleener as the Niners’ 1st pick.

The team was formed by other coaches but those other coaches never had a .500 season let alone 13-3 and a muffed punt or 2 from the super bowl

Jim Harbough took a less then mediocre team and turned them into a Super Bowl boud team in 1 season with very practically no offseason, no ota’s. He turned Alex Smith into a effcient passer something 2 previous HC’s and 7 OC’s couldnt do with a full offseason let alone less then half!

I think Harbough deserves all the credit he gets and then some, to do what he did in the amount of time he did it in remarkable and completely unheard of!.

Reasons P.M. might not be going West Coast /NFC.
#1 :aaa It’s the west coast . Peyton is E.C. swamp boy.
#2 :Niner O line is o.k…see Alex run !
#3:The entire P.M. /Colts offense is not what the niners run. No way will the 9ers hand over the offense to P.M.
#4: Harbaugh : I love coach ,the reason the niners have been so bad for so long = horrible pathetic coaches & coaching that were more concerned if they could wear a suit on the sideline etc.. but Harbaugh= the Genghis Khan of head coaches will not sit still for P.M. running every thing on the O.
# 5: $$$, one more time, $$$ . Niners can’t match the other 2 ? teams,yeah ,who knows ?there could be several more in the wood pile.

49ers can’t pay him what Denver and Tennessee can, that’s a fact.
Tennessee can pay him but then cannot afford to get him any more toys to play with.
Denver can pay him whatever he wants and pick up some toys.

Oh, and in SF…he has to deal with Randy Moss.
I doubt Peyton wants Tom Brady’s sloppy seconds.

Peyton will go back to his college roots and stay in AFC
and play for Tennessee which has an easier schedule and can avoid playing against Eli until the greatest Super Bowl of all-time : Manning vs Manning.

I go back to what Adam Schefter said when he announced it on ESPN. PM has not visited the 9ers facility. He still might, but until then they have to be considered the long shot of the 3 remaining teams. If he visits then they should be considered the favorites to sign him.

Some of you have good views, why would Peyton visit all but the niners facility? Everybody is so hype about manning joining the niners, their not thinking straight. The colts was so bad without Peyton, im surprise he took them to two superbowl so if he joins a team who puts in half the effort the colts did last season, he can make that team much better. The niners can win the superbowl without Peyton, I think its messed up how their treating smith like it was his fault they didn’t make it. I’ve stayed in the bay for 20 years and theres nothing but trouble and crime out there so don’t say that SF is a better city. That’s probably why the meeting was a secret because the niner fans are far worser than Miami fans. Manning will sign with the broncos because they have the weaker division and he only have to get thru brady. Plus denver can offer the most money guaranteed.
