Brandon Lloyd sounds like he’s ready to do things the Patriot way.

After reaching an agreement with the Patriots on Saturday evening, Lloyd told Tom Curran of CSNNE that all his focus is on putting his head down and doing his job.

I’m ready for work,” Lloyd said. “The time for talking is done. I couldn’t be more excited.”

That’s exactly what Bill Belichick will want to hear, which is good news in New England because Lloyd hasn’t always been an ideal team player. Lloyd recently acknowledged that he was disrespectful to Joe Gibbs during his time with the Redskins, and if Lloyd has the same attitude toward Belichick, it’s not going to work for him in New England.

But Lloyd has made clear since before he became a free agent that New England was where he wanted to go, and if the reports that he signed for $12 million over three years are true, then he took less money to play for the Patriots. That shows how badly he wants to be a Patriot, and how ready he is to get to work in New England.
