Buddy Nix basks in the post-Mario glow

The Bills made the biggest move of the week, pursuing — and landing — defensive end Mario Williams.

After thee long days of recruitment and, eventually, victory, Nix joined PFT Live to discuss the landing of the hottest defensive free agent since Reggie White.

If you missed it Friday, you can watch it now.  While you’re at home.  And the boss isn’t hovering over your shoulder, his coffee breath tinged with gingivitis bouncing off the collar of your polo shirt and find its way into your nose.

Oh, and enjoy your lunch.

Ugh! Now that I am completely put off my food due to the end of that last comment about the boss’ breath, time to watch the video.

Mario averages 8.8 sacks per year. Shows up when he feels like it. Enjoy the ride Buffalo. Demarcus Ware and other DOUBLE DIGIT per year players are watering at the mouth for their next contract if Mario got this much.

Mario never really played next to real men like Kyle / Dareus, he’s in for treat.

Buddy Nix sounds just like Major Kong from Dr. Strangelove.

unless he can play tackle or throw td’s he’s not what you needed…money wasted

  12. juicedtothemax says: Mar 18, 2012 3:52 PM

He’s a waste of money and he’s not a leader on the defense. shows up a couple plays out of the game then disappears. I hope Chan can get better productivity, with Mario’s size and speed he should have led the nfl in sacks at least twice. Was never worth #1 overall. That’s why he’s not in Houston. Good Luck Buffs!

“hottest defensive free agent since Reggie White”???

    Really?

How many teams did he visit? I only ever heard about Buffalo and they had to bring him back two or three times before he realized NO ONE else was going to offer him that kind of money.

How about “hottest defensive free agent since Nnamdi”……..last year!

    Blue22ro-

I have no idea why you got so many thumbs down for stating such an obvious fact. Do the delusional fans in Buffalo really think Williams is even half as good a White?

    Really?

almost last in the league in sacks and we had 10 in 1 game. probably didn’t need a pass rusher though…

Nice interview, but get an updated helmet for the background. C’mon.

It’s a shame he couldn’t go to a team that had a chance to win a Super Bowl like Reggie did.

No one is comparing the players themselves. They are comparing the deal. What Reggie did for the Packers, Mario is going to do with the Bills. Bring them out of the bottomless pit of the NFL.
