Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports that the Cardinals have released interior offensive lineman Rex Hadnot.

Hadnot, 30, was Arizona’s starting right guard for all 16 games in 2011. The Cardinals have replaced him with Adam Snyder. Hadnot’s release took Arizona off the hook for a $1.5 million base salary.

Hadnot is a backup-caliber lineman, but he can play both guard spots and center. That versatility should help him find a new job in unrestricted free agency.
