I guess LB and O-line can be found in the mid rounds of the draft.

I think that’s a good thing. Very few teams still do and it’s very difficult to find guys who can play in it at a high level. I don’t know what defense the Saints ran but I can’t recall anyone saying they did man coverage. I’m thinking some cover 2 hybrid or some sort. If that’s the case and the Raiders are moving towards that direction then Porter would be a good haul.

It also gives the kids like Chekwa and DVD, who flashed promise, to learn a modern style. I’m still worried about the #2 corner, and the slot and nickel guys, but there seems to be a plan in place that will fill those. I hope.

Anyway, ramble mode off – He would be a good start to FA for the modernization of the Raiders.

We don’t need high profile free agents. I really like how Reggie McKenzie is handling free agency. Sitting back and finding guys that fill needs at reasonable prices. He’s young and still entering is prime, the fact reggie and allen are interested should be a good sign. A strong pass rush can cover up any secondary issues anyways.
