fsf7, um, really? I lived in the Bay Area from 1985-90, and while the tension in their relationship is well documented, so is how much Young learned from Montana. Young was HORRIBLE when he entered the NFL. Nowhere near where Jake Locker is right now. In fact, during his first two years in the NFL, Young threw 11 TD passes and, get this, 21 interceptions. Need more? Try this on for size: “If I’m a great quarterback or a good quarterback or a decent quarterback, a lot of it’s because of Joe.” ~ Steve Young in 1994. Google it.

They will be fine without Manning or Alex. Although, I think when all is said and done, Manning will regret, internally, not going to the Niners. The Broncos wooed him the most and won over his heart. He shouldve went with his head.

Broncos fans, put away your Tebow jerseys and congrats on the acquisition. Just don’t think it will be as big a splash as most everyone assumes.

Fear not, Niner fans. Smith will come around and sign by the end of the week (no way he wants to be part of the circus in Miami). But don’t worry, there are never hard feelings when someone gets dumped because their “partner” thinks they can “score” with someone else….are there?

They may wanna go ahead and start Locker now and maybe even trade Hasselbeck someplace else. Then go out and pick up another veteran QB to be the 2nd stringer.

If Adams wants to win as soon as possible then it may be time to give Locker the keys and let him try to win. The team isn’t gonna win the title with Hasselbeck at QB. Because Adams is as old as he is, they may wanna put Locker in the driver’s seat now and hope he can lead them to a title sometime in the next 2 or 3 years.

Coming from the owner that put a knife in the back of loyal Houston Oilers fans, and had a love affair with Vince Young, I’d say Bud Adams deserves exactly what he has.

Manning handled this with class, calling the other teams first rather than just holding a press conference (a la Lebron), and Adams response was equally classy. I wish them both the best.

One of the main reasons I wanted Peyton to sign with the Titans was so my favorite player–Jake Locker–would learn under the best (aka Steve Young under Montana).

But Young had tremendous talent and threw what, in my own opinion, was the prettiest pass I have ever seen. The ball just seemed to radiate touch and was incredibly accurate as well.

Locker is Locker and he’ll be the QB he is with or without Manning.

Clearly Peyton has a man-crush on John Elway. Commence bromance…

He has a home there, he went to school there, he’s a legend there, AND the owner offered him a front office job when he’s done.

So basically, even if he failed with the Titans he would still have won.

I’m actually shocked he chose Denver over the pers and especially the Titans.

I think they’ll live without Peyton.
