This move put the broncos right back at the top pf contention. For too long fans had to endure horrible seasons, they haven’t had a franchise QB since Elway and you have to give Elway credit, he knows what it takes to get to the superbowl, he’s been five times. The broncos only had 1 good season after Elway when plummer took them to the championship. No franchise QB in 11 years, now with manning the broncos can find that person to be his successor if tebow is not the answer. I say manning win at least one more superbowl in his tenure with the broncos but it’ll be worth it because the broncos are guaranteed to not have a losing season

Pay-me-a-ton and his band of geriatrics have a plan. It will fail. He is the most overrated, unclutch, HOF’er to ever play the game. Leaving the Colts was about money, nothing else. Who will he blame when he extends his playoff mediocrity? Elway? The age of his skill players? I wish him and his new fans nothing but disappointment. Hopefully the new crop of QB’s will help us forget Mr. “We had some protection issues”

Key word in the headline is ‘old’, which does not neccessarily mean ‘better’. Remains to be seen how these players, including Manning after missing a full year, perform. Once players start dictating who’s on their own team it’s no longer a coaches team.

Saturday I’m sure will play at a high enough level to do the job, but most likely he’s being brought in as a patch job until they can draft someone else to take over permanently. I’ve never been impressed by Addai, but again that may be due to the role he was given in Indy.

Stokley, however, is a clutch receiver. Provided he’s healthy, the guy is incredibly consistent when it comes to those precision throws and plays with narrow margins for error. I’d certainly give him a shot, and I’m surprised nobody else has picked him up for at least a one year deal.

Not really sure why everyone is acting like the Colts offense was the reason for a lack of Super Bowls over the last 14 years. I guess I didnt see that memo…

If the Broncos bring in Saturday and Clark, they will be in good shape. Manning has certainly done more with less during his career. For anyone that doubts, find a Colts offensive player who left the team in the last 14 years and had better years elsewhere. Guy makes everyone around him much better players.

I think everyone needs to understand the facts reported here and the speculation. Facts: Manning wants to/will sign and Saturday coming in for a visit. All the other players mentioned are speculation. Don’t take the speculation as fact and be critical of Denver. EVERYONE has been reading reports (aka speculation based on no fact) that former Indy players will be signed with Manning.

Yep…one SuperBowl in 14 years with all these players and with a much better defense.

He definitely made the wrong decision if it’s about winning championships.

Obviously, it’s more about the money…so he is no better than any other player in the NFL.

It really IS all about the ca$h. Can’t wait until Seymour slaps him upside the head.

Don’t do it! Maybe Saturday… and Maybe Clark. That’s about it.
Remember this name: Julius Thomas. 2nd year TE that had some injury problems. Needs to work on blocking, but is a miss match in the pass game for any LB.
Julius Thomas = the next Antonio Gates.

Saturday is a key to the success PM’s has had.
PM reads the D, calls an audible and Saturday audibles the line play based on what PM changed to. granted another center or lineman could call line play, but they need to hit the ground running in the few years they all (FA Colts) have left.
If they can pick them up on the cheap why not?

Peyton is just setting up his retirment fund for himself and for his buddies. Nobody is interested because they’re washed up, so Peyton is helping them out. These guys will be making $1-4 million per year, definitely enough to live after football. I wouldn’t be surprised to see all 3 of them out of the league in 2 years

Peyton was 10-6 last time he played and is now two years older, he has not proven he can take a hit nor pass downfield..
