Seahawks lineman arrested for sexual assault

124718925

Coaches fret during the offseason about many things.  Are my guys staying in shape?  Are they rehabbing any injuries they may have?  Are they eating right?

And, most importantly, are they staying out of trouble?

For the most part, the answer this year to that last question has been yes.  Last month, however, Seahawks offensive lineman Jarriel King was arrested in South Carolina for allegedly having forcible sex with a highly-intoxicated woman, according to WCSC-TV.  Charged with the same crime was Arthur Lee Denson-Holmes.

The men allegedly were drinking and smoking marijuana with the alleged victim at King’s apartment.  The trio went to a nightclub then returned to the apartment, and continued to drink and smoke.  The alleged victim claims that she became dizzy and lightheaded and laid on a bed.  The two men allegedly disrobed her and raped her, even though she claims she repeatedly told them to stop.

Originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent, King currently is listed on the Seahawks’ roster.

Then again, that may not last for much longer.

If it’s true, he shouldn’t just be cut.

He should die in a fire.

He’s lucky his HC has a closet full of skeletons.

Shows what the world has become when this type of story simply doesn’t surprise me…

Perrish Cox got off scot-free and signed a big contract with the 49ers as his reward. I’m sure a jock sniffing jury will let this sleaze go free too.

As long as it isn’t Roethlisberger Goodell couldn’t care less.

Are you my long-lost relative or something? I always say “Should die in a fire” or “Go die in a fire!” Ha. Too funny.

Yeah, sadly this will probably be another Cox deal where he will get off or get very minimal punishment. Of course, we have to wait and see how the trial plays out. Disgusting that these athletes, actors, musicians, politicians and others in authority/power/limelight, can behave the way they do…well some of them. It just baffles me. I would give anything to have half of their talents, skills and abilities, as well as make just a fraction of what they make because it would still be more than I will ever see at my job.

Sounds like she ALLEGEDLY got drunk/stoned did something stupid (like have a threesome with those 2) and regretted it when she came to her senses. But who knows for sure what happened.

    Good on them.

Joetoronto: not saying this as a Seahawks fan, but as a human being: Don’t equate some hypocritical NCAA regulation with sexual assault…

Um sir..ben walked the first time…he was only suspended bc it happened AGAIN. Surely Goodell had to do something….a 6 game suspension reduced to 4 is hardly a punishment. Dudes who do roids get more time..

I pride myself in knowing who most everyone is on the roster, usually, but this is the first time I’ve heard this guy’s name. Rotoworld shows he made one appearance, against the Rams, last year.

The team also cut him nine minutes after word came out he was being charged.

If it had been Earl Thomas or Kam Chancellor or Red Bryant, I’d be sick to my stomach. This is some practice-squad-level talent who likely isn’t even worth having around on the odd chance he gets acquited.

I’ll echo some of the previous comments, by saluting Pete Carroll & John Schneider for severing this guy from the team the moment they got word of these disgusting accusations. And, I use the term “team” in this worm’s case mighty loosely because I know my Seahawks’ roster very well, & I’ve NEVER heard of this bum before.

    Also: Go ‘Hawks!

Pretty stupid of King but what about the girl? What did she think was going to happen back at his apartment with two guys late at night. I wish there was a little more responsibility placed on the female in these situations. Her behavior is not beyond reproach either. If she had any common sense she would stay out of a guys apartment, avoid alcohol and drugs and hang with a girlfriend just in case.

First, running a train on a woman is nasty–especially if she is drunk or otherwise incapacitated.

Second, if the story is true both guys need to be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Third, leaving a club with a guy(s) and going to his home or hotel room is implied consent to have sex.

They need to stop this nonsense of telling women that no means no. You cannot just flip the off switch if you are a man.

I have been victimized by women like this. You’re at the club and getting lots of attention from various females. One female throws herself at you and blows all the other women away, then she gets to your place and shuts it down.

If Roethlisberger was not already a 2x Super Bowl winning QB, the media would not have made any deal out of it.

The same offseason as Roethlisberger’s alleged incident, which came with no charges, two other players — one with Colts one with Packers — were accused of sexual assault. I am willing to bet not even one person on here would know their names without looking them up.

This story will be meaningless because of the status of the player and his value to the media –will it sell magazines, papers, get ratings, etc.

BTW – Eric Foster and Brandon Underwood.

$20 says he gets off like Cox. (no pun intended) None of this screams rape to me. It just seems like another accusation.

In order to get convicted of rape you have to PROVE: a. there was force involved. b. there was intercourse. c. that it wasn’t consentual.

Again PROVE. Anyone can accuse someone and have them arrested. Just as long as they sound convincing enough to the police and prosecutors.

in the words of Charlie Kelly, you sound like a full on rapist. Leaving a club with someone does not mean you are consenting to sex, if you believe that you are half a moron and half a creep.

Hey, homely, just because you buy a woman some drinks doesn’t mean she owes you sex. You must be a very immature inidvidual. I hope you learn how to treat women before you end up in prison taking one up your a$$.

What are you, some 12 year old with a James Bond fixation?

Leaving a club with your own wife isn’t even implied consent to have sex as any adult living in the real world could attest.

    Idiot.
