Seahawks lineman arrested for sexual assault

Coaches fret during the offseason about many things. Are my guys staying in shape? Are they rehabbing any injuries they may have? Are they eating right?

And, most importantly, are they staying out of trouble?

For the most part, the answer this year to that last question has been yes. Last month, however, Seahawks offensive lineman Jarriel King was arrested in South Carolina for allegedly having forcible sex with a highly-intoxicated woman, according to WCSC-TV. Charged with the same crime was Arthur Lee Denson-Holmes.

The men allegedly were drinking and smoking marijuana with the alleged victim at King’s apartment. The trio went to a nightclub then returned to the apartment, and continued to drink and smoke. The alleged victim claims that she became dizzy and lightheaded and laid on a bed. The two men allegedly disrobed her and raped her, even though she claims she repeatedly told them to stop.

Originally signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent, King currently is listed on the Seahawks’ roster.

Then again, that may not last for much longer.
