Ireland has botched everything and destroyed any chance of aquiring a decent QB this year.
A month or two ago, I was ready to give Ross a pass and forget his past bungling but this free agency period has left me with nothing but disdain for Dolphins management. The Manning debacle illustrates that Ross is not taken seriously by NFL players. The Dolphins only got an interview because of Marino. The recent criticism of the Dolphins by Clark, Irving, Porter and Sapp illustrates this point. Ireland's cutting Yeramiah Bell late in free agency so that you can resign him at a lower figure also illustrates how cutthroat and unethical the Dolphins have become.

No one, including so called guru's can build a football team when the players will not come there with the desire to give 110% and win. As of this writing, the Dolphins need a QB, 2 safeties, a CB, an Left OLB, a RG, a RT and at least one top WR just to be able to compete with the other AFC East teams. If you look at our need for depth the situation gets worse, yet we are screwing players over nickels and dimes. We are doomed!

The answer is simple, Boycott! If the fans will not attend games, Ross will listen. If fans write letters to the Broward County commissioners telling them not to fund Ross's stadium upgrades then Ross will listen. If fans can create enough financial havoc then Ross will listen. Anyone who condones screwin Bell out of NFL chump change will listen once the fans have hurt his pocket book. The Davie Protest was just a start - the fans must keep it going!

The answer is must include Ross making the Miami Dolphins a publicly owned corporation. He can do an IPO that will sell three classes of stocks. Class A will be full voting and dividend earning shares. Class B will be one-tenth voting and dividend shares. Class C will be limited voting and no dividend (vanity) shares that are called to vote only as tie breakers. Ross will make billions. He can put the roof on his privately owned stadium or he can be content to count the cash. Once the company is public the stock holders can clean up Ross's mess.

I wanna know what all you haters are gonna say if we draft good receivers and a good QB and others next month. This has to play out. You are being unfair to the present org. by blaming them for inheriting a troubled franchise. You don't want to give them a chance, fine, whatever. I do. Ross is a new owner needs to learn the business, too. All this crucifying is childish and super emotional. Matt Moore was the 12th best rated QB last year, yet, the media has convinced some that Matt Flynn was the answer barring PM's signing. The FO never once said they coveted him. To them and many sensible people he's just another Matt Moore, at best. I may end up hat in' on Dolphins, but I'm at least waiting on draft. Supposedly, that's where Philbin shines in finding talent: see Packers.

Been a dolphin fan since 1979. I'm just about done with this team. I thought things couldn't get any worse after Wannestedt and Saban. Clearly I was wrong.
Ross should've known this franchise would have to have Luck to survive. After week 5 he should've traded almost everyone and create a lot of cap space and fielded a team of arena league talent ensuring the first overall pick. Then start rebuilding the team from there. Why in the world he let them start winning is baffling.

In fairness, not "every" free agent has said no to Miami. David Garrard comes to mind. Garrard is not going to excite season ticket holders the way Manning or Mario Williams will or Tebow still might, but that is "someone" (a serviceable QB) who decided to play for Miami.

Now, if you're talking ELITE free agents… well… you've got me there.

There's always the draft, I suppose… maybe Cleveland won't take Tannehill. And maybe no one else will trade up with Minnesota or the other teams in front of you on the draft list to grab him. Maybe.

This is just ridiculous. Do you hear that other players on other teams are saying NO ONE WANTS TO GO TO MIAMI? Our “real estate” owner knows nothing, NOTHING about owning a NFL Franchise. He has gaffed and effed up numerous situations, from head coaches to players. It’s the coaching debacles that are the most disturbing; as it shows his knowledge(Ross) for the game, his process and critical thinking (or lack of) and it transposes to how the organization is viewed by players, coaches, fans and the media. Of course the media will look to take numerous pot shots at us now…. And I don’t blame them. Gloria effen Stephan, the William sisters and Rico effen Suave are not going to lure top quality prospects to the team. Having a class act organization from the owner all the way down to the ball boys, water boys and the minimum wage employees taking 20 bucks per person to park their cars is what entices players to move to a new organization. All that being said… am I disappointed about having Moore as my QB this year? NO absolutely not. Am I anticipating our new RB/FB from the CFL “messam” people up… HELL YES… Do I salivate watching Wake “THE BEAST” coming around the corner of the line tee-ing up on a QB? (hopefully manning) BETTER PUT MONEY ON IT. Do I want to see Ross and Ireland show up to the NFL draft and fudge this team up any more?…(just puked in my mouth) NO. Sick of it. So we have another FO that is going to more than likely chase another head coach out with their pea-brain moves and unethical approach … not to mention their arrogant horrible decision making and we don’t get to see their coaching potential because they were never set up for success Yeah … fan for life…. Thing is life right now SUCKS.

Right on bro you nailed that like a split hawg

It took decades to get where we are today. Patience pays.
____________

That's true, it did. It took four decades to go from a perfect team to a team that makes headlines only through its PR disasters. From Ireland's disastrous interview with Dez Bryant to Ross' public pursuit of and subsequent embarrassing failure to land Jim Harbaugh, Jeff Fisher, Robert Griffin, Peyton Manning, and Matt Flynn. Look, crawpappa, I know you're only trying to stick up for your team, but it's okay to acknowledge that the front office is a disaster that needs to go, while remaining a dolphins fan. It's hard to watch as other people rip on the franchise you love, but that doesn't mean you need to dig in your heels and defend Ross' and Ireland's mistakes. No one here it criticizing the Dolphins' franchise history or the act of being a Dolphins fan, but don't lie to yourself and pretend you like the direction the team is going.
