Free agent offensive lineman Samson Satele was arrested on disorderly conduct charges on Saturday. Apparently the Colts weren’t concerned.

The Colts announced today that they have signed Satele, who played the last three years with the Raiders.

The 27-year-old Satele has been a starter for his entire five-year NFL career. He was a second-round draft pick of the Dolphins in 2007, started all 32 games over in seasons there, and then was traded to the Raiders before the 2009 season, starting 42 games in three seasons in Oakland.

Satele didn’t do himself any favors in free agency by getting arrested, but he could be a solid upgrade to the Colts’ offensive line, likely taking the place of the departing Jeff Saturday as the starting center in Indianapolis.
