You should know about those, since that’s all SF has right now. God knows their QB is a hack and always has been. Tebow was given a choice. The Jags gave a better offer (higher 4th rounder and offered to pay more of the $5 mil) and Tebow said himself he wanted to play for Rex Ryan.

cant understand all the love for tebow. he is an awful qb–if u take the name off the jersey the guy isnt even in the league. hes another great college qb that didnt make it in the nfl. thats fine. there are plenty of those out there. but people berating elway is crazy. he got rid of his biggest headache for peyton manning. this is the diff between elway and the jets–elway is in the business to win championships and the jets are trying to sell jerseys. thats fine but if u are a fan of them than its not ok.

Adam Shefter reported very early on that Tebow was going to be allowed to choose. Shefter is pretty dang respected for having the inside track.

Toward the end of the season I watched an analysis of exactly how Tim’s play dramatically changed during his game winning drives. His check downs were good, decision making improved, and he ran at the right time and direction. As if when focused, he can demonstrate good quarterback technique, and he caught defenses by surprise by doing so. The point is its possible he may develop into a good quarterback, but at present lacks consistency. I regret his having made his faith an issue in connection with performance and victory, as if others personal faith is somehow less than his own. John Elway made professional decisions based on his best judgement. I do not read any lying into either statement, and think both to be men of good character.
