High honor for our NBC boss

RCordella1

On July 1, 2009, PFT launched a partnership with NBC that has been wildly successful for both parties. The architect of the transaction was Rick Cordella, who after five years with Rotoworld recently had become GM of NBCSports.com.

Fueled by a mutual affinity for football and Seinfeld, Rick and I quickly developed a level of friendship and trust that not only makes it painless to work through any issues that arise but also makes any issues few and very far between.

Now the VP and General Manager, Digital Media, NBC Sports & Olympics, the former member of the Providence basketball team has achieved much at the young age of 35. And tonight Rick will be recognized by SportsBusiness Journal as one of the 2012 “Forty Under 40.”

Rick and the rest of the class (including 30-year-old 49ers owner Jed York) will be honored tonight at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, California.

Congratulations, to Rick, his wife, Jennifer, and their three girls. We’re proud of what you’ve done, and I’ll always be honored to be your latex salesman.

(Feel free to drop a note to Rick in the comments. If it wasn’t for him many of you may have never discovered PFT.)
