Rams host five free agents on Thursday, sign one

Jeff Fisher AP

The St. Louis Rams hosted five unrestricted free agents at their club headquarters on Thursday.

They were offensive tackle Barry Richardson, tackle/guards Robert Turner and Quinn Ojinnaka, guard Chilo Rachal, and linebacker Jo-Lonn Dunbar.

According to Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the Rams signed Ojinnaka to a one-year deal.

The other four players likely remain on the Rams’ radar, but have not been signed. Rachal is the most notable. He was the 39th overall pick in the 2008 draft and started 35 games over his first three NFL seasons before being benched for Adam Snyder in San Francisco last year.

He’s also one of the few players left unsigned on the PFT Hot 100.

are you kidding me? Chilo Rachel. The guy is easily the worst linemen ever. Aswell as a complete disgrace to the #62. He gives up on blocks is completely lost on a football field, kills the performance of the linemen next to him and his worst move was that stupid Gore chop block which turned into a chop cause dispite have one of the best blocking RB Chilo stays with the guy who has beaten him and making Frank the table. SO glad ur not a niner anymore.

Robert Turner was a versatile lineman for the Jets who went on IR in the preseason which was a huge blow to their O-line depth. If healthy he’d be a good pickup on the cheap.
