Its not personal. Do folks realize that starting QBs who posted BETTER stats than Tebow last year were pulled as starters? (ex: Curtis Painter). A winning team builds fans and every GM wants to stack the odds in their favor to build a winning team. Not hope that Denver can again beat the odds and succeed in 2012 with that hugely non-standard offense they had to assemble.

----------------------------------------------------
A Dense person like you will never understand even if a WINNER is sitting in front of you. Tim Tebow is a BORN WINNER. Let me explain, with his completion%, Tim Tebow should have never done what he did which was leading the dead Broncos to the playoff and even won his first playoff game. But he did because he's a born winner. A hater like you will say that Broncos won because of the Broncos Defense which is totally BS since it was the same defense that produced a DEAD Broncos team until Tebow took over the starting. His winning energy brought that dead defense back to life, in turn contributing to those wins.
A lot of you are making fun of the Jets FO, but the difference between the Jets FO and you idiots is that the Jets FO are able to see a WINNER in Tim Tebow. I have no doubts Tim Tebow is a smart addition to the Jets organization because he will help them win games when it counts.

It is getting tiresome listening to people fault Elway. Elway didn’t pick Tebow. Elway fixed a QB problem in Denver that frankly started with Josh McDaniels. He shed the team of the most inaccurate and inconsistent starting QB in the NFL and worked hard to bring a new fan favorite to town to keep the fan base happy in the process. A real shrewd move.

Yes, two-faced liar Elway threw Tim Tebow under the bus for 2 main reasons:
1) As you said, Tebow was picked by McDaniels to be a Bronco Franchise QB. Elway is not just a liar, he's also an egomaniac. So he will not allow someone else's draft to take over his legacy in Denver. Therefore, there is no way Tebow will ever become a Broncos franchise QB as long as Elway is his boss. The sooner Tebow is out of the Broncos organization, the better for him. Manning is not a threat to Elway because Manning's legacy is with the Colts.
2) Elway has always been the only STAR in Denver until Tebow came along. I'm sure Elway is not happy with someone else taking his pedestal away. So Tebow has to go even if the Broncos has to pay Manning $96M to do that. What does Elway care? It's not his money, it's Pat Bowlen's money. If Bowlen doesn't care, why should he?

According to Tebow, he wasn't given a say in the matter.
If he was, I still think he goes to NY. Even though Jacksonville is his home town, the football people there made it very clear that they didn't want him.
Why would he choose to go to a place where he wasn't wanted?

@whatiswiththehate,
I have never seen anyone so obsessed with blaming the media for EVERTHING. Sheesh. Hope you have extra tinfoil hats in your possession because probably go through them on the regular.

I thought Tebow had commented in another story on here about how he preferred to play in the South again, especially FL. I'm guessing that if he had a choice, he would have chosen Jax (of those two choices).

Let's be real, Tim Tebow has become the Kim Kardashian of the NFL. He's a made for tv character. The real Tim Tebow is replaced by a image who bows and who is one step from the Pope. The media, especially ESPN, is the only group who is making so much of of this kid. If you don't believe watch First Take. It's like Tim Tebow Central.

The media wanted Tim in NY because they want Sanchez removed as QB. They know that Tim will not earn his spot as a starting QB but just like in Denver, as soon as the starting QB screws up one time, the media and his rabid will be chanting for him to go in. If the team succeeds, all the credit will go to Tim. If Tim fails, the entire Jet franchise will be blamed.

I'm sure you folks remember this script, right?

Something tells me that the folks in Denver are quite happy the Tim Circus has left town.

Now we have him and there will be nonstop coverage and bafoonery coming from fools like Skip Bayless. And even worst, is the nonstop comparison to athletes who can actually play their position.

Tim Tebow is all the more proof that the media now owns the NFL.

Can't wait for baseball season to begin..

Tebow went to the Jets for one reason….the money he will make from marketing opportunities will blow any other city out of the water. Not saying he’s greedy, but he is smart for going to NY. The Jets on the other hand are dumb for getting him.

===================================
Goobs, one does not have to be in New York to get marketing oppoutunities in the NFL. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees did just fine with small market teams.

If Tebow was greedy, he would have chozen Jacksonville over New York. The cost of living in New York and the taxes are a lot higher than in Jacksonville. His religious views don't exactly fit in well with the locals either in New York.

Tebow went to the Jets for one reason….the money he will make from marketing opportunities will blow any other city out of the water. Not saying he’s greedy, but he is smart for going to NY. The Jets on the other hand are dumb for getting him.

===================================

His religious views don’t exactly fit in well with the locals either in New York.

"...I am not saying Elway had to like tebow but really Elway should be embarrassed by how he handled the whole situation"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It is getting tiresome listening to people fault Elway. Elway didn't pick Tebow. Elway fixed a QB problem in Denver that frankly started with Josh McDaniels. He shed the team of the most inaccurate and inconsistent starting QB in the NFL and worked hard to bring a new fan favorite to town to keep the fan base happy in the process. A real shrewd move.
Its not personal. Do folks realize that starting QBs who posted BETTER stats than Tebow last year were pulled as starters? (ex: Curtis Painter). A winning team builds fans and every GM wants to stack the odds in their favor to build a winning team. Not hope that Denver can again beat the odds and succeed in 2012 with that hugely non-standard offense they had to assemble.
Are you hearing this broncos /tebow fans, tebow didn't even want to be a bronco. Its amazing how the truth comes out when you're no longer on the team. This just proves that once he became a FA would have left the broncos himself. Just because players are drafted to a team doesn't mean they like them, they don't have a choice to choose their team in the draft.
Poor Tim, he got such a RAW deal! His GM wanted to replace him with a HOF quarterback, you know a guy with a completion % well over 50. People comment like the Broncos were the only team after Manning or that Tim was the only one bothered. If it weren't for the cap all but but 5ish teams would've been after Manning. So drop the raw deal act; he still has a job. Are you really surprised a former QB GM would want to replace Tebow after he saw his passing stats? No shiza sherlock. Come on people.
Wow, the qb who was statistically the worst in the league gets dumped by his team and then hosts a press conference to talk about being third string in a new city? Will all new backup qb's get their own presser? Did I miss the Dan Orlovsky presser? The Rex Grossman presser? The Charlie Whitehurst presser? The Jason Campbell presser? Can we get transcripts of those events or are the rules different for Tebow, the Kim Kardashian/Paris Hilton of the NFL (just famous for being famous)?
