When last we heard from Ravens linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, he was vowing not to watch the “unSuper Bowl” between two teams who were, in his view, not the best two teams of the NFL’s final four.

Ayanbadejo has now signed on for up to three more chances to get to the Super Bowl (“un” or otherwise) with a team that has been gently rapping, rapping at the championship door.

Per a league source, Ayanbadejo has agreed to terms on a three-year deal with the Ravens.

A career backup and special-teamer, Ayanbadejo has appeared in 126 career regular-season games . . . with four starts.

B.A. seemed to be a much more of an impact player with the Bears than with the Ravens. But that could have more to do with the lousy ST coach (Rosburg) than B.A. himself.

he made his third consecutive pro bowl in 2008, his first year with the ravens, then tore his quad early in 2009. couple that injury with the fact that he’s 35 years old, I’d say Rosburg has little to do with his decline in production.

Well this definitely puts them over the top for a super bowl victory.

Quality guy (despite his heat of the moment unSB comment) & quality player. Glad to have him back!

Glad they resigned him. I don’t think their average special teams could have handled another loss.

    Ayanbadejo will stay!! Viva Ayanbadejo!

No … I don’t really care. Just love saying his name.

Great to hear he is coming back. He might be old but he keeps himself in tip top shape and is a solid backup at LB. At least Jen Royle is gone from tv and radio in the area, so we don’t have to hear her gawk at how great his body is instead of giving us any credible football analysis.

I had forgotten about his un-Superbowl comment. After watching it, I have to say he was right. I kind of wish I hadn’t wasted my time on it.
