"If the league doesn’t penalize the Cowboys and Redskins then be prepared to compensate the other 30 TEAMS who played by the rules and award them ADDITIONAL CAP SPACE to keep it fair!!!!!!"

Give me the specific rule that was broken by the Cowboys in an uncapped year.

Right. Bye bye now.

"Jerry Jones cheated and got caught. He just didn’t cheat all the way. You know … sign $600, 000 in contracts with the best available players and load all of the expenditures into the “uncapped year”. if you’re gonna cheat, Jerry, at least have the balls to cheat big."

What an inept and moronic post. Can you tell me EXACTLY where a rule was broken, and where the "cheating" part comes in? You can't, because there were no rules broken by either the Skins or Cowboys. Funny you didn't mention the 36 million that the Skins were penalized, which is 3.6 times what the Cowboys were penalized, speaking of having the "balls to cheat big".

You are an inept hater who obviously is just as petty and whiny as the owners of the other 28 teams who didn't want to spend more in an uncapped year.

This is all about politics. DeMaurice Smith is up for re-election this month, he didn't want to lower the cap space for teams in 2012, nor lose his job. So he and Goodell decided to retroactively penalize the Cowboys and Skins (on player contracts that were approved) without merit because 28 other teams kicked and screamed enough. Most of those 28 owners are cheap skates who won't even use the extra cap room they were given. When did a luxury tax suddenly become a part of the NFL?

You need to check your maxi pad, mjkelly77. Infections of the vulva could be a serious issue for women like you.

QUESTION...
What is the difference between what Dan and Jerry did to GAIN CAP SPACE and when ALL teams can RESTRUCTURE existing contracts to GAIN CAP SPACE?? ...
The difference is nothing.
Except 28 owners / businessmen were LEGALLY out maneuvered and embarrassed by it. It is easier and cheaper for GooFell to deal with 4 owners than 28 embarrassed owners. You need to remember that the NFL is a BUSINESS. The owners own BUSINESSES. Why do people own businesses? To make money? Facts are facts. I think GooFell would have been better off dealing with the 28 other owners than Dan and Jerry.

Bottom line, all parties involved are at fault here. The problem is that the commish signed off on the contracts before realizing the ramifications of what the skins, and boys created to the other owners. Hence, the unfair competitive balance outrage from the other owners. Since Goddell works for the owners, he had to appease the majority by enforcing a penalty, which is now where we are at. Mara was the ring leader in the penatly, which since it's against his east foes looks a bit fishy. Time to fix this mess, and both sides come to a compromise, and give half that cap space money back. Most top talent has been signed, so the penalty this year has already affected both teams. Just take away next year's cap restriction. Problem solved.

Mara and Goodell are starting to realize that the Cowboys and Skins are going to bring the pain!!! Mara thought he successfully cheated to direct competitors out of fair competition by docking cap space. The NFL's biggest mistake was only docking two teams that reside in the NFC-E. Mara looks very dirty!!! Get-em, Get-em, Get-Em!!!

So all 32 teams should have dumped salary cap space in anticipation of the new deal with the players?

In order to maintain some sort of integrity for the 2012 season the teams had to keep it in check for 2011. What it shows is that the league was divided along ethical lines.

With 28 on one side and Jerry and Danny on the other and not surprisingly the Saints and Raiders in the middle.

The uncapped year was not in a void by itself, everyone knew a new deal would get done with a cap and trying to "game" the new agreement is not leadership it is being a punk.

So when the decision is between what you can do vs what you should do, we all know were Jerry and Danny fall.
In the end maybe they can prove they were "legally" right but that still does not make it wrong.

The only reason there isnt a law suite yet is because as soon as they do its admitting your team owners comitted a crime. And it blows apart the whole settlement they had with the players. Its admiting the NFL owners were in collution. ( Go look up the meaning). So atleast know what you are talking about before you run your mouth since it was the other owners breaking laws not Dan snyder or Jerry Jones.
______________

Collution? I think you'd better keep your dictionary handy, genius.

Most of you still have no clue what this whole thing is about. You keep saying " they broke the rules" NO THEY didnt. The commish can warn the teams all he wants about what he is going to do to them but WHAT they did was not against ANY rules. WHAT THE OTHER TEAM OWNERS DID WAS AGAINST FEDERAL LAW. Its called collution and its against the law. The whole thing is the owners wanted to all stick together and stick it to the players to set up the lock out. What JJ and Dan snyder did was approved and legal. What the other teams owners did is 100% against the law. The only reason there hasnt been a law suite yet is because if they do file it the NFL will be put almost in Bankrupcy. It would be like dropping a bomb on you own town.because it will prove what the OTHER TEAM OWNERS DID.
