What gets paid attention to is their anger about losing their coach for a year. Are they supposed to be happy about that? Remember too that the punishments and investigation of players has not come down yet. Anything the players say will be held against them until then. They’d be stupid to admit anything right now.

Players from just 15 years ago are laughing at how soft the NFL has become and Troy Aikman is absolutely right when he says you wont even recognize the NFL in 10 years.

This change in the NFL is great news to soccer because all this BS talk about saving players knees and making football safe is all just BS. Football is in an inherently violent sport and you can legislate that out of the game or you will have a watered down product akin to Flag football.

Many of you cry and carry on about how the NFL is becoming flag football, but God forbid a player does his job and hits as hard as he can within the limits of the current rules. That’s all the Saints players did, but with a little bit of extra unneeded motivation. All be it twisted, motivation.

In reality, it didn’t change a thing. If you play defense, your goal is to hit a player so hard, that they fear possessing the ball in, or around, you. If that isn’t your goal, there’s a reason your not a defensive player at the NFL level.

It’s sad that the NFL has become so corporate, and even worse that so many fans have followed suit. This generation of NFL fans are a joke, and I can only imagine many of you are shocked at the way the game used to be played. I guess this is what happens when the soccer mom mentality of “everyone is a winner” finally grows up. Thumb me down all you want, but those who thmb me down only prove that they’re little soft shell pansies. May the Saints kick all of your collective rear ends this season.

If we cheated, where are the penalties? I have checked all the major websites and despite them being able to tell me stats like “that was first ever 200 yard rushing game by a man weighing under 213 pounds since 1987″, they have yet to release a story about the personal foul penalty team ranks from 2009-2012.

If the Saints cheated, they should rank #1 on that list, right?

The fact is that they were more aggressive and laid more viscious legal shots than other teams. If they were paid a few extra dollars, who cares? Oh I know who cares, losers.

Fact is that the Saints are the winniest franchise of the last 6 years and no one can stop our offense. Our defense consistently has ranked in the bottom of the league. Heck, in 2009, we ranked dead last in scoring defense.

Right…because he didn’t…LIE TO THE COMMISSIONER when he was turned in by mangini/tanny. Why is this so hard for people to understand?? If BB had lied, I have 0 doubt in my mind he would have been done for 16 games as well.

Sure the players will have an “us against the world” thing going as did the Pats in 07. But the 07 Pats HAD BB. SP is a fantastic offensive coach and without him (and with the other guys w/ HC experience either suspended for a bit also [Vitt] or trying to implement a new defense [Spags]I can’t see the Saints breaking 8-8, motivation or not. Don’t forget, there will likely be some players missing on D as well due to suspension.
