ReutersAfter finishing the 2011 season with the Bills, Tashard Choice has decided to return in 2012.
The Bills announced today that Choice, a free agent running back, has agreed to re-sign with the team.
Choice started the 2011 season in Dallas but was waived by the Cowboys in October, then was claimed by the Redskins only to be waived in November. The Bills then claimed him, and he finished the season in Buffalo. In six games with the Bills he had 70 rushing yards on 23 carries and 51 receiving yards on seven catches.
Although he started his career as a speedy back who averaged more than five yards a carry in each of his first two seasons, he hasn’t done much in the last two years, averaging 3.7 yards a carry in 2010 and 2.7 yards a carry in 2011.
Buffalo may be Choice’s best chance of making a roster, in part because of his comfort with the system and the coaching staff. Bills head coach Chan Gailey coached Choice at Georgia Tech.

Absent any outside offers, Tashard had no…uuumm…well….no……other options.
This is the guy who got Michael Vicks autograph on the field after the Cowboys got beat by the Eagles??? ….said it was for his 2 yr old cousin? Average running back with below average thought process.
Do not mind the signing at all.
He is going to be competing with Johnny White for the 3rd RB spot. Obviously Jackson and Spiller are the top two backs.
Too late now, but IMO the Bills would have been better off signing Michael Bush & releasing John White & Tashard Choice.
3rd back at best, Jackson will still be carrying the load

Why spend a ton of Money on Bush to be the third back. I am sure that is nothing Bush would have wanted any part of.
This is a solid depth signing. I mean we are talking about the THIRD RB here. Heck just cause he knows Gailey’s system makes it a win win
The Bills are loaded at running back: Spiller, Jackson, Choice, and white.
Boy, what a non story
Go Eagles
Hope he can stay healthy, the Bills are on the upswing and looking good on D.
Maybe they can work him into some “new” play calling packages……
Choice is terrible.

Bush is basically a starting NFL running back. The Bills have two starters as it is in Jackson(top 5 RB) and Spiller(top 10 RB) with Choice and White as backups. Signing Bush to have him warm the bench wouldn’t be worth the millions of dollars he would cost.
Choice is awful. He shouldn’t make the team or any NFL team for that matter.
He’s the perfect CHOICE to compete for 3rd back…
I’m assuming Gailey knows how to use him best, and is he perhaps going to be used as a WR out of the backfield rather than a RB?
