Tebow, Sanchez may be neighbors

Jets Tebow Football AP

Jets coach Rex Ryan and backup quarterback Tim Tebow may be the most mismatched pair since Oscar Madison and Felix Unger shared an apartment.  But Tebow and starter Mark Sanchez could be the ones who end up being neighbors.

According to the New York Post, Tebow is looking for a house in the same community where Sanchez resides — at the Trump National Golf Course in New Jersey.

Specifically, Tebow wants to rent a four-bedroom house that goes for $10,000 per month.

The team’s new quarterback has eyeballed others Trump properties, including the Trump Park Avenue in Manhattan.

Though it may not be convenient for Tebow to get to the team’s facility in New Jersey if he lives in Midtown, he could always walk across the Hudson River.

in about 2 years tebow won’t be in the nfl so why does the media spend so much time on a bad quarterback?

Tebow very well may take Sanchez’s starting job, but at least he doesn’t have to worry about his new neighbor snatching up all the young ladies from him

  7. duanethomas says: Mar 24, 2012 9:40 PM

Most hyped backup quarterback in the history of the NFL. When the NY media gets through with him it won’t be pretty. Remember when Sanchez was Sanchise???

  8. vincentbojackson says: Mar 24, 2012 9:41 PM

Sanchez should be the one renting.

  9. backindasaddle says: Mar 24, 2012 9:42 PM

    $10,000/month rent. That’s 10 times my mortgage payment….but I’m certain it’s a fancier neighborhood….

If your understanding of sports is that simplistic, why even pollute the comments section? Tebow is money in the red zone, and could easily play a long career just as a third QB and sub-package player, even if he can’t ultimately stick as a starter. But yea, I’m sure you scouted him from your couch and figured out all there is to know about a guy with less than twenty starts in his career.

  12. ezra954 says: Mar 24, 2012 9:45 PM

That locker room is on fire already except when Teblow is there I wonder if he has rose pedals droped in front of him like coming to America

Ummmm, 10K a month for someone making millions a year is NOTHING. Are you guys kidding?

I dont even make 6 figures and my mortgage is close to 2K. You guys should tune up your math before making a baseless rip.

  17. mybrunoblog says: Mar 24, 2012 10:14 PM

10k$ a month is pretty big dime for an apartment in jersey but tebow has to live in a gated community. A guy with his following would have idiots showing up at his doorstep looking for autographs if he had a regular home or apartment.

LOL@ all the Tebow haters. You people are pathetic. Is he a good quarterback? Hell no! He is awful. However, he is a leader and one hell of an athlete, as well as a role model. That goes a long way. He doesnt care what you haters say and thats what makes him bigger than life. You twits have to thrown religion into it and thats all the ammo you have. 99% of you clown shoes here, have never stepped foot in a locker room and have never been part of something bigger than yourself. He is a good guy to have in the locker room, and that goes a long way on any team. There is more to Tebow that being a terrible quarterback and thats something you morons that hate, cannot get through your heads. Get back to putting the flamingos in front of your trailers, spring is here.

  22. frankpm says: Mar 24, 2012 10:31 PM

@mrplow3 – exactly. that rent payment is about 10 times my mortgage, but his annual salary is about 30 times mine. by pro athlete standards, this isn’t exactly extravagant…

mark is obviously Frank Grime to Tebow’ Homer Simpson. grime being the hard worker who can’t believe the talent less homer gets all the accolades.

but be careful mark: grimes let’s homer’s idiocy drive him to do something dumb and he dies.

Boy you really have no clue…I’ve spent a major part of my life in lockerooms playing multiple sports in college. When has a 2nd or 3rd string player ever been a leader in a team sport. Even if he does get some p.t. It’s not enough to lead a team. You have to play to lead ass. He will not make it here in NY…we don’t have the patience for someone who is fake and using religion in a wrong way. Since when does god care who wins a football game. Enough said, I’m going to get a god damn snack.

  31. primetime666 says: Mar 24, 2012 11:45 PM

Sanchez doesn’t have a chance… Tebow will be the starter by Week 6… and Sanchez will be sent packing ala Pennington when the Jets got Favre.

…No fool , u r the one with no clue. God does not care who wins football games and Tebow has never said so nor asked that. If u had an IQ of more than 50 you’ d know Tim Only prays for strength to do his best win or lose. He is the same person win or lose and walks the walk besides the talk.

You are like all the other God haters who are so afraid that the truth might force you to look at your own pathetic life and justify your selfishness

Andy Dalton’s bengals made the playoffs in his rookie year and is a way better prospect than #15.

I’m a god-fearing person but I CANNOT TAKE THE HYPE ANYMORE!!!! PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!!!

  40. bigbadal21 says: Mar 25, 2012 3:06 AM

So much for watching your money during your career. $10,000 a month may not be much compared to his yearly salary now but it will be a fortune compared to his missionary pay in a few years.

  41. yojoemama says: Mar 25, 2012 3:22 AM

$10,000 doesn’t make sense financially because Tebow will be out of the league in two years and should be pinching pennies instead like Ty Detmer did when he was the backup in Philly.

It doesn’t make sense religiously either. Tebow is a hypocrite lol. Isn’t it against the teachings of the Bible/church to be greedy and excessively indulge? And you would think such a devout Christian would choose to spend $1000 a month on a normal apartment and spend the $9000 saved toward charity.

    Perhaps Tebow is a fraud?

  42. bearsstillsuck says: Mar 25, 2012 4:25 AM

It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than it is for a rich man to go to heaven. Christianity: the most hypocritical religion ever founded.

Well if this happens, TT will know where to go if he needs to borrow a babysitter for when some neices or nephews that come into town, or, he needs to borrow some tight white pants for some hallowe’en party.

Sanchez’s unconfident ego can’t take Tebowmania. Worse part is Tebow doesn’t even want all this attention smh! He knows he’s not a great QB, but he has heart and u can’t teach that to anyone! Get off Tebow’s ****, $10,000 USD to watch the Super Bowl in his new 4 bdrm spot on the couch next to Rex Ryan lol…The End

  47. btwicey says: Mar 25, 2012 5:53 AM

So….You think 1 guy in THAT locker room is going to change things????

Clowns like Cromartie, Holmes…even an over rated Revis…are cancers…Tebow may end up also being team chaplain.

Sanchez will love it too,,,all the teenage girls chasing Tebow will make him feel like he’s a middle school teacher.

  49. mungman69 says: Mar 25, 2012 7:42 AM

We didn’t throw religion into the Tim Tebow story. HE strikes the pose. HE made an abortion ad. HE preaches everytime someone sticks a mike in his face. So please don’t dump that religion stuff on the fans.

I wonder if all this Tebow is a great Christian man is the beginning of his quest for sainthood. You can already point to two miracles, the fact the Broncos made the playoffs and the fact they one a playoff game with him at quarterback.
