On Friday, Alper linked to an item from Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com with some of the key numbers from the contract signed by receiver Mario Manningham with the 49ers.

Here’s the full rundown of all terms, from a source with knowledge of the contract.

1. $2 million signing bonus.

2. $1.2 million base salary for 2012, fully guaranteed.

3. $250,000 in total per-game roster bonuses for 2012.

4. $100,000 workout bonus for 2012.

5. $3.6 million base salary for 2013, $1.25 million of which is guaranteed for injury only.

6. $250,000 roster bonus for 2013.

7. $100,000 workout bonus for 2013.

8. Incentives in each year based on the following factors: $100,000 for 70 catches or $250,000 for 80 catches or $500,000 for 90 catches; $50,000 for 1,050 yards or $100,000 for 1,150 yards or $250,000 for 1,250 yards; $50,000 for nine touchdowns or $100,000 for 11 touchdowns or $250,000 for 13 touchdowns; and $250,000 for making it to the Pro Bowl.

So it’s a two-year deal with a base value of $7.5 million, a maximum value of $10 million, and $4.45 million guaranteed ($3.2 million fully guaranteed).

Again, it shows that making a clutch catch in a big moment doesn’t mean what it used to, and that teams no longer will allow one key play to overcome a so-so body of work.
