When I see Tebow all I see is another religious bigot that hates gays and women’s reproductive rights. Maybe we all have a different opinion on “Christian values”.
In regards to football, a backup QB should be a good teammate first and support the starter and the franchise without lobbying for himself even if that’s through a surrogate.

As a Raiders fan, I'm reserving my skepticism about the direction our new GM is taking us. But I'm glad there is another team that's more dysfunctional than the Raiders.

I liken the jets situation to the mouse living in an aquarium. Then the python gets placed in it too. The mouse is already dead, even if he doesn’t know it yet. The python will soon wrap it’s coils around the defenseless mouse. The grip will slowly get tighter. With every move the mouse makes, it brings him closer to death. The python will eventually eat the meek, little mouse. The mouse doesn’t have the tools to defend itself from the DIVINE strength of this ultimate predator.

I'll preface my comments by saying that I loathe the way Tebow advertises his religion. But I'll say the same thing I said last year. He's a winner. It doesn't mean anything to me that he's not Tom Brady or Peyton Manning. He has something that makes his team believe in him as a leader and I can tell you that makes him better than a number of quarterbacks who have come through the league with all the tools to be a great quarterback. Often we see teams who have a ton of physical talent and fail to go deep into the playoffs because they don't have a cohesive team and a leader who players will stand up and play harder for. Then just as often we see teams who don't have the best talent outperform their expected records because of something unseen and special. Tim Tebow is something special. Whether you like him or not his teammates loved him and his leadership made everyone of them better players. To make it to this level, you have to be good and believe me, every one of these guys are good but it takes just a little something special to be great. This is a team sport and 10.5 players playing there asses off are going to beat 11 players half assing it every single time.

It's so sad that "Christian boy" like Tim Tebow would allow the media to use him to bully QBs, who they don't care for, out of their starting jobs.

So much for the WWJD mindset.

Let me give you Tim Tebow fans a reality check, this is NY City we're talking about. A city where no one player is ever bigger than the team he plays for. So I don't know why you're under some delusion that Tim is going to sweep into NY and take over the Jets and the new team name will be Tim Tebow and the Jets.

See how quickly "Linsanity"died down. NYers aren't fazed by media talk and hype. We want you to deliver. If Tim delivers, we will like him but unlike the mess in Denver, if he doesn't, his behind will be sitting behind Sanchez.

Eli have won 2 SB with the Giants. You will never see Eli's name being bigger than the Giants.

NYC isn't starving for attention. Maybe the Jets are for the time being but attention isn't a thing this city lacks. And for what it's worth, Giants and Jets fans share the same stadium and although many of the Giants fans will be messing with the Jets fans about Tim Tebow, if Tim fans get out of hand to the point where the Giant fans are disgusted, Tim will finding himself one miserable guy in NY. You don't want NY fans hating you.

There are 9 teams that call NY/NJ home. They are teams that can stand on their own. Some teams may be more successful than others. We don't need the Tim Tebow circus rolling into this city acting like they're going to "bless" this city. NYers have a whole lot of famous athletes but none of them are more famous than the teams they played for.

Please stop your foolishness.

jiggy3198 says: Mar 24, 2012 3:53 PM

Besides Tebow can anyone name a back up quarterback [in] the nfl
-------------------------
David Carr didn't take a single snap for the Giants in the regular or post-season, but I'm pretty sure he was singing "I got a ring - he got one too" on the plane back from Indy with all his teammates... which may explain why he just re-signed with Big Blue - knowing he probably won't take a snap in 2012, either.
