for those idiot pats fans who think they have a say in who Belichick decides to bring on to the team, the 2006 comments are water under the bridge. Bill has been in the game long enough to know that people get emotional after a huge loss and say things without much thinking. if he thinks that LT will be a positive addition to the team he’ll sign regardless what you idiots think.

He has commented on TV that he’d like to play with Peyton Manning. Realize he’s not a spring chicken anymore, but he still has talent, drive and know how. Classy guy. Might be just a nice spark in Denver for a year (he probably just wants to have a 15 year career).

As a Jets fan I wish we could keep him. But with McKnight showing what he did last year it comes down to Powell or Tomlinson. Tomlinson is obviously more proven, even at this age, and could still contribute, but he won’t get playing time and will only get older, while Powell (or alternatively a RB drafted in the later rounds) will continue to learn and grow.

Any team that is short on RB depth should take a look at him, especially a young team with a young work horse RB that could use Tomlinson. He is still a very effective pass catcher and blocker when he isn’t overworked (like all RBs are in the Jets system). Whoever gives him a shot will come a consummate professional and great leader. I’ll be happy if the Jets resign him, even though it is logically a bad football move.

Who knows, maybe the Jets should keep him around, just for the leadership, which will clearly be needed this season.

I would bet my left nut that L.T. wouldn’t go slummin in the butt crack of the universe that is Oakland. Come to Denver so you can continue to make the Raiders your b!+€h. Plus a bonus would be being able to show that d bag A.J. Smith, that letting the best player to ever wear a charger uniform see another team, was a colossal mistake.

Jets need to bring him back. Bring everybody into the locker room, lock the doors, and let it loose. After they get done fighting and yelling, it will be a team of men that walks out those doors. Or they could let him go, he does or doesn’t play, and unfinished business never gets solved, and neither do the Jets’ problems, possibly for a long long time.

Yes, you are missing something. Apparently you started following NFL football after the 2006 playoffs concluded. No harm in that, but it means you didn’t get clued into the fact that the Pats are not classy enough for Lady Jane-ian.

We non-classy Pats fans are happy with that. And I’m pretty sure our no-class coach (the source of the Pats non-classiness, according to the broken-down RB himself) feels the same way.

L.T. is turning 33 however he still is a dangerous
threat in screen plays and still has a solid 2-3 years left in the tank. Someone will pick him up at some point.
