He was a backup QB with the Broncos during Josh McDaniels’ first head-coaching season. Probably assistant qb coach. Work with Hoyer and Mallett.

Has no one mentioned that when Simms tried to make an NFL comeback, he actually tried to switch arms?

Like I think he was orriginally southpaw, but tried to come back right handed, or visa versa

Either way, the guy has heart. And he was good with the Bucs, they just had a bad o-line, mediocre recievers, and a bad head coach in chucky.

Like many here I’ve got respect for what this dude played through in Tampa. You know… The Gruden era. Was there ever a coach that collected and mishandled a bigger collection of backup QBs? I once (literally) counted 12 QBs on that roster. One being the great Jake Plummer who never suited up for him. Stay in the the booth Chucky.

I wish Mr Chris Simms the best. Gritty competitor. I hope we’re talking about a young upstart coach in a few years.

Liked Chris Simms from the start. A gutty, gritty competitor who gave that Bucs team everything he had up to getting his spleen destroyed because of that piece of crap line.

Tampa crapped all over him after that.
