If they do not pick a WR with their first pick I would be more than happy if they could get this guy in the 2nd round.
Teaming him up with Brandon Marshall would make things a lot easier for him as far as coverage goes.

He is worth taking a chance on.

Chunk Jefferies may be drafted as a WR, but unless he stays on Jenny Craig he may be a TE by the end of his rookie contract.

Yeah, the Vikings have tried a couple of South Carolina receivers in recent years, with limited success at best. That said, if Jeffrey is available at the top of round 2, I can see the Vikings taking a chance on him. He’s a huge target with great hands, something that the Vikings QBs are going to need. He’s got better hands than Troy Williamson, and hopefully better health than Sidney Rice.

As for the secondary, Rick Spielman doesn’t seem to think that part of the team needs upgrading. If he didn’t he’d have actually made an effort to land at least one new starter, especially at safety.

It’s unspectacular because of his speed and in ability to gain seperation from db’s. but with proper coaching and some serious hardwork he could be really good. Some team could get a gem in the mid second round if he pans out.
