I believe the league would be opening it self up to litigation if it tried to limit his opportunities to work outside of the NFL umbrella. I have seen a company try to go after guys they fire that have no compete clauses. I am sure there is no such clause in the coach’s contract. His agent would have made sure he would be available to the media after his gig was up.
