Brandon Carr vows Victor Cruz won’t dance against the Cowboys

As the Cowboys’ new top cornerback, Brandon Carr already knows his assignment for Week One: Cover Giants receiver Victor Cruz.

Although Carr has never played against Cruz, he said on ESPN’s NFL Live that he knows exactly how to play the kind of physical coverage that will frustrate him.

“I want to use all my body. I’m six-foot, 200 pounds. I know he’s got to run through me to get wherever he’s running, so I’m going to be patient at the line. All that salsa dancing, that’s fine, but you’ve got to come through me,” Carr said, via the Dallas Morning News. “I don’t plan on seeing no dancing.”

Giants tight end Jake Ballard saw those comments and responded, “Good luck buddy.”
